It can seem like that to someone who isn't used to it. If you were brought up in a secular household, as even I was, it can be something you struggle with. When I came to the conclusion that there was a supernatural, it wasn't an easy feat for me to get used to. It took me years.
It meant I've had to do a lot of reading. Hundreds of books, tens of scriptures, in dozens of religions, on different religions.
But overall, I genuinely believe it was worth it.
I hope that one day you can get rid of this larp, but I will be honest - some religions seem more prone to this. There are some religions which I feel are larpy and weird even now. Paganism is one, but then again, you don't really encounter a sincere pagan very often. Most of them are just Christians dressing up in "Aryan" clothing, with Thor as Jesus and Odin as the Father, or atheists who like drinking mead and saying skål.
