How many of you are “essential” workers?

Has your job gone on as normal? Are you being paid “hazard pay”? Are you being supplied “PPE” or any type of disinfects? Are people stealing toilet paper from your job yet?

Yes. No. Gloves and Hand sani. Dont know.

Job is normal. They tell us to wash hands and wear gloves but I don't. I work in food.

Yes
No, actually we're getting furloughed for a week at a time
No, told to wash hands
Not sure

Banker in San Francisco here

Vacation next week got a fat raise also. We have p100 masks issued and protective glass installed. Small business loans roll out next week and I’m glad I won’t be there for that shitstorm

I’m still just as employed as ever, but I’m far from essential.

Farm work, never see nobody

I just got hired at a pretzel factory. Apparently it's essential labor?
>mfw

yes. LMAO hazard pay! Hand sanitizer, and cheap ass gloves. Its a grocery store so no.

Based Boomer remover

Can`t really call my job important but still gotta happen, all we have to do is wear gloves and keep distance

I teach physics. Apparently this is essential enough to keep us teaching, but not essential enough to have us actually meeting with out students any more so that they have any chance of actually learning anything.

being part of the master manager at wendy's race, all we selling is frosty's and doubles.

My job is essential, they even gave me a piece of paper saying so, but i laughed at everyone and told them this is america, i'd rather be in a body bag

Security
>Has your job gone on as normal?
it has gone better because building is mostly sealed and there's way less people to watch over
>Are you being paid “hazard pay”?
nope
>Are you being supplied “PPE” or any type of disinfects?
only lower facemask made from cheap fabric and optional gloves
>Are people stealing toilet paper from your job yet?
we don't have problem with toilet paper in my area

Yes. No. We have PPE, as well as engineering controls and disinfectants. No, and nobody's really struggling to find TP yet anyway.

I have letters from 2 companies who employ me from the general managers of each to whom it may concern I am engaged in contract work for their ascensional business which is pharmacy related so it names all of New England in which these companies do business in case there are any intrastate shutdowns I am free to travel

>yes
>no
>yes
>as usual

not normal but we are reporting on site as a skeleton crew. paid admin leave based on past 6 pay periods averaged. nope. you betcha they are.

ICU RN so yeah, business is booming.
We just started getting a joke of a critical need bonus for overtime only, regular shifts aren't incentivized.
We get one n95 mask and one surgical mask per shift. We're told to wear the surgical mask over the n95 to increase the life of the mask. We started bringing our own elastomeric masks instead.
Not toilet paper, but a lot of people have been fired for stealing boxes of masks and gloves.

I manage the SysAdmin group for a hedge fund in NYC. We're allowed onsite if we want to because we are considered essential (I actually have no clue why) but the entire company except for a couple people managing the HVAC infrastructure and general facilities stuff are just working remotely. We're all just getting paid salary as normal but we can order whatever IT equipment we want at the company's expense to facilitate working from home. It actually feels like we're working the exact same. People are putting in more hours but getting distracted with stuff at home so it's averaging out.

How many of you have noticed the Hong Kong protests and riots, which were looking set to continue and spread, have been utterly forgotten?

But that's just all a coincidence.

Work in factory. Had a case of corona back in March. Company kept hush hush. Having constant people sent home. No ppe. Rare cleaning. Company literacy pe penalize its employees even if they have corona. My job sucks.

>normal?
more busy, no one wants to drive into town
>hazard pay?
yes, 25% percent and I was promoted etc
>ppe?
yes but we are going to run out of masks so i might wear my respirator
>stealing tp?
small company, we ordered for the year back in January when this shit was picking up.

pretty normal except the gloves, bleaching and bandana

Working as usual, no protection at all. I drink 2dl palinka every day for disinfection.

my pay is still 14.25 an hour, there's no hazard pay and my hours are only at 32-33 a week, we normally have sanitizer so no new "PPE"
we might have the sickest wagon wheel toilet paper on this earth, I'm surprised people haven;t stolen it yet. In addition we now only do drive thru, were managing maybe 600 people a day for just window. We now wear gloves and hand out bags on a tray.

>a lot of people have been fired for stealing boxes of masks and gloves
Lmao were any of them doctors?

Im working at home, making five grand a month. I'm ok

>Software fag
>Shitfuck job with little to nothing but busy work most of the day for months on end
>Get labeled "essential" by Govt.
>Literally just check e-mails, shitpost and clock my hours all day err day.

Damn I feel wrong af but /comfy/ af bros

My solid state class is online
This shit is tough, what the fuck

Security for a medical clinic, get to kick out the homeless. Seems like folks are a little more on edge, but there’s not point in losing your cool. Just glad I never decided to leave my company, it’s nice to still have a steady paycheck

I work at a grocery store for minimum + 2$ an hour

I love Jesus

I wageslave at a fed ex distribution center. Don't know what it was like before because i got on a few weeks before it snowballed here. Maybe it was terrible before but the the volume of packages have been enormous. No hazard pay, shut down all the break rooms. No provided gloves or masks. Just asked to wash hands.

I have an 'essential' government position. Been working from home for 3 weeks and its comfy af. Getting more sleep, eating healthier because I have time to make good meals from scratch, taken up sourdough breadmaking even. Also I'm getting more work done than usual because I'm not getting dragged into useless meetings with faggot managers every day.

Overall corona-chan has blessed me.

defense industry engineer here

>normal
working from home isn't an option due to security reasons. Maybe I can do some stuff from home but not much.

>hazard pay
lol nope

>PPE or disinfect
hand sanitizer and lysol wipes

>stealing toiled paper
Was doing that long before the pandemic. lol. I think I went 5 years w/o having to buy TP from a store.

EMT here. No hazard pay, have to bleach the shit out of everything if the pt is covid suspected
>hazard pay
Lmao

Non essential have a job for the next month but we were told if it goes longer owners are going to go broke

Forgot to mention, we aren't getting any ppe from out distributer. We're having to reuse disposable shit. We're nearly out of n95 masks and gowns.

My plant makes parts for aerospace, energy sector, and the military. So yea, we are normal operations. Although there was drama from the workers. But funnily enough, a bunch are scared/angry they have to work (no free company pay, you’ll have to dip into your own sick/vacation hours), a bunch are happy we have work, and a bunch are carrying on as if nothing is going on.

We sent home all the older guys, heavy smokers and people with family members with serious heath issues. We mostly sleep in the offices and work 7 days a week. We are making our own disinfectants in our laboratory. An we still manage to find ppe from china.
No hazard pay. We get the luxury of still having a job when this is over.

Question to all of you, if you had your own fullface respirator would your work even allow you to wear it? I assume no because it's "scary"

Yes

It's not essential

They're literally putting overtime to build main battle tank engines

I have never stolen anything from my job other than pliers and screwdrivers but maybe I should because they really don't give two fucks about us lol

job is slow as fuck, no hazard pay, we get our normal supply of PPE unless the government decides to steal it,which looks like its coming soon, I am stealing tp from work because I cant buy any.... my normal supply is running low.

Oh, and we get the normal response;
>no additional ppe handout from company
>shit ton of auto hand sanitizers everywhere
>new procedures with disinfectant bottles at each individual stations
>6 feet rule thing that’s impractical to follow but still semi enforced

No

It feels like a meme that they are telling us washing our hands kills the virus while the rate of infection doubles every 3 days

I think you are gonna get it anyway and I sort of want to get it over with.

I had the opportunity to get a ton of work gear but completely spaced on it, got mayor quarantine on a day off

Got a call a case was in my building today. Still had to come in to work. During holiday our pay was 20$ an hour. Now during a pabdemic our lives are only worth 17$ heh. Same shitty mexicans doing cleaning as normally do nothing extra. Normies touching eachother and laughing about its just a flu.

oh my, you're making less than 2k a month, which are the trudeaubucks... feels bad man.

>bunch are carrying on as if nothing is going on

those are the idiots you have to be scared of

NY banker
No hazard pay, disinfectant by the gallon, alcohols and PDI wipes. Supposedly gloves were coming but never did. We're too uppity for masks.
Public couldn't access a bathroom before, they can't now
Only abnormal thing is we're not doing any client facing business anymore except from behind glass. We won't even let you in, you stay in the vestibule, preferably you just call. The only people getting in are VIPs on appointment. We're filling up the time with training and administrivia. Gonna learn python soon.
Our lenders are swamped with the PPP.
I had someone come by today who tried to get in, told me he was a coronavirus carrier. Told him to take a walk
I think I use enough sanitizer daily to have a blood alcohol content on the drive home
That's the way I'm looking at it, a lot of people just saw their jobs disappear, could be worse
I don't think anyone would stop me

You might not know but infection doesn't mean you're resistant to another hit, you want to do your best to avoid it entirely

Yes. Working from home. It's comfy.

there's already a woman who comes into work wearing a respirator/mask all day. She's the only one so far. I work in software.

outside of a sarcastic comment from one of the resident assholes, I don't think anyone has said anything

Fire Captain/Paramedic in a suburban area. No hazard pay. Admin says we have 2 weeks of masks left then we are using our SCBA on EMS calls. Been using one N95 per shift for a week or two already. Seen a few cases of the rona already but our peak is still almost 3 weeks out. Nobody has stolen our TP but people ask for masks that we don’t have.

Please don't bring god into this fren, we let him down
I would consider quiting if you start pumping numbers like us

Technical Support in LA here.
It's gotten busier because everyone's working from home except us, so all my tickets are VPN and shit. It's actually gotten busier which pisses me off. The commute is really nice though and reminds of the "Day without a Mexican" protest. You can travel at a reasonable pace now. My boss just loosened the dress code too, so t-shirt and jeans now.
I'm a contractor, so no increase in pay, but they are making us lunches and their cook isn't half bad, so I've enjoyed some free meals the last week or so.
The only thing that kinda sucks is that feeling like you're only person going to work while everyone else gets to stay home. Not that I'd be missing much. The news is 24/7 Kung Flu. It's like nothing else is going on in the world.

Absolutely based and gonna make it pilled

I work for a smoothie place, sales actually increased at our store because its the only drive through, management started cutting hours to "keep other stores open" as soon as that bullshit hit I told em to go fuck their hat and im glad my parents are rich enough to support me for the next few months. Before you all give me shit, its a part time job while im still in college.
Tldr: retards still spending $9 on smoothies in a national emergency. No ppe for my wagie friens

If that's the case we are all fucked anyway so wrecking the economy has been pointless

You do build immunity but it takes 28 days - you can get unlucky and get reinfected before you're immune, they don't know how long it lasts but the virus is stable - if it mutates it should become LESS lethal as that is what viruses are wont to do over time.

>be me
>have job at local grocery store
>it absolutely sucks and they treat me like shit but I somehow made decent money there
>work there for 2 years
>started college last year and got free gubmint gibs to pay my bills
>go on leave of absence from grocery store
>mfw they've been calling me to come back

I refuse to make Mr. Shekelstein richer by getting coofed on by disgusting Boomers, possibly getting Corona-chan. Already been sick working there normally more times than I ever have in my life. Had to cancel my Christmas plans last year because I was sick. Normies are the scum of the earth and I hope this plague crashes our society with no survivors. Thanks for reading my blog btw.

>SCBA on ems calls
Jesus. Must be great having to give aid to someone while you have all that shit attached to you.

I'm a physiotherapist in public healthcare i do homevisits to mostly very old people who already have home nursing. Either rehab or figuring out how they could still move as much and possible without falling.. atm I am only doing acute clients.. so if my visit helps them prevent a trip to the hospital. But they are prolly going to move me to help with nursing stuff soon. Sucks, but atleast im still employed. We finally got ppe last week aswell. Scared as shit of spreading while symptomless

Still working. Not as many hours, but still over 40 a week.

>if it mutates it should become LESS lethal as that is what viruses are wont to do over time.
I guess that makes sort of sense. Can’t continue existing if you’re too fucking deadly and killing the hosts left and right.

city bus operator, no hazard pay. disenfecting wipes if asked. 30.13 hr ohio

I implement and train providers in mobile medical applications business is fucking booming since everyone is going to video visits.

I have a small shop and make car parts.

>Yes
>Self employed, filled out the form for the SBA emergency loan. Probably won't need it, but $10k @ 0.5% is a good deal
>Additional PPE above what I normally use isn't necessary
>No niggers, no TP theives

Nothing about my day to day has changed except once a city cop gave me a hard time while I was dropping off mail.

I'm at Beale AFB. I'm active duty and have an "essential" tag in my car window

>hey user thanks for coming in. I know you're constantly around the human filth and dregs of society so here's some Clorox wipes if you need em.
