It's not accelerating fast enough, a week ago the death rate was increasing 31% a day. The current increase has fallen to 20% and it will fall likely to around 10% in another week. Based on such numbers we can assume the fact the disease was mostly contained to urban centers has created a max infected, while the application of aid will unfuck shit.
Also see It's literally springtime, diseases aren't magic- it needs to survive long enough outside the body in order to spread. If it warms up, it will die in the heat. Same as any other coronavirus like SARS 1.
