The numbers are less than flu, both infections and deaths. But there's a lot of factors that differentiate this virus, including a much higher R0 (Flu: 1.3, nCov19: 3.5) and its ability to kill those with relatively minor pre-existing conditions. It's not just cancer, even basic hypertension and obesity make this virus considerably more deadly than flu.
