Read a book, plant the seeds, go on run, trap a rabbit, do pull-ups... have you done what you should be doing today?

Friendly reminder that to think clearly about an issue (the system) you need to be somewhat detached from it. We can only look at objects when we are outside of them. Free your physical chains and you will free your mind.

It's funny how the stuff in that picture is made industrially (the plastics are probably chinese) and still used as propaganda

The society curtails your freedom and autonomy, which causes frustration and powerlessness. Your rebellious instincts are carefully directed towards systems goal. Some pre-defined buckets of revolts that are ultimately in the favour of system are ingrained into your subconscious by the mass media. You feel week and powerless, and you identify yourself by that group, and fight for their rights. The trick is so neat, that it beats even the most elegant mathematical proofs.

Whatcha sliding moshe?

ay ay captain

What you mean we are not AnPrims??!!!! Hypocrites we are, for being against the industrial society and not larp as stone age people (within the legal limits of the industrial society we live in).

Oh yeah, Theodore wrote 50 pages attacking the AnPrims. Maybe you should read his work before assuming what his position is.

Yeah, so?
Ellul is the french guy

Ted Kaczynski General has been posted for the past weeks and is one of the _few_ threads where serious discussion about the absolute state of our society happens.

Yeah, you tell me what we are ''sliding''. Here's a brotip to notice slide threads:

the AI voices are terrifyingly real

NOOOOOOOOO NOT MY FACTORINOS!!! WE WERE GONNA COLLECTIVISE THEM AND HAVE THEM OWNED BY THE WORKERINOS!!!!!!!!!!

Nah brah, I'm just pointing out that you aint got no viable praxis

What's with the annoying high-pitched artifact? This is a good idea for the people that are turned off by the controversy surrounding Ted, but would otherwise agree with the thesis. Publish it as if someone else said it. Only later will they find out it was not original to that person. By that point, the idea has been planted.
Maybe we could use some of the less spammed paragraphs from ISAIF to deep-fake and post them around the web.

Praxis for what?

communism or capitalism has little to do in a problem of dynamic optimisation of resources. Its the techno-industrial system which dictates the forms and efficacy of governance and control. communism wont change how steel or electricity is made

It is true that the praxis of Techno-Skeptics is the most lacking part. That doesn't mean the diagnosis and prognosis isn't accurate and reasoned.

We are not here to try a sell a quick and easy solution that will give everything one would want to happen.

There is an intresting counter to the point you are trying to make (several counters actually):

The dichotomy between natural environment / technological system is a false one.

As mammals, we have developed into accomplished tool bulders, and for several hundreds of thousand years, this was all well and good.

From this situation in nature -the existence of one supremely superior species as far as tool-making goes- came technological civilization. Tool making was suddenly taken to a whole new level, so much so, that the tool of industrialization very very soon became semi-autonomous due to its logic-based, goal-oriented self-directing nature. This self-directed monster we know as the technological system is VERY MUCH a product of nature, and abides by natures' basic principles.

Now fast-forward to a post-collapse existence of the human mammal. Unfortunately, plastics will be around for many many decades at least, and many millennia more in their broken up molecular form. In the years and decades after collapse, humans WILL be using everything they can find in their environment in order to survive as communities. That WILL include plastic bottles, lead pipe, corrugated steel, etc.

So when you see contemporary humans making use of chinese plastics, they really are in fact making use of elements of their environment, because now unfortunately, the wild animal that is tech civ produces such plastic.
A tool is a tool is a tool.

Ok so is the FAQ done now? Great work nonetheless!

I'll read it through now

so are anti-tech societies around the world planning to make use of this corona opportunity to take down industrial society?

The FAQ is done if anons say it is done!

The weakest point by far is point 3.

Basing a critique of the MKULTRA situation on Ted's own words is very flimsy. It doesn't stand up to criticism at all.... Plus, didn't have the time to address the trial/insanity aspect of things. Point 1 is also a bit weak.

The rest seems to actually be pretty solid, given that all of the answers come straight from Ted, previous /TKG/ threads, and a little bit here and there from Ellul.

>Ok so is the FAQ done now?

To answer your question directly, yeah, it seems very very close to finished, very solid, except for points 3 and 1.

Thank you for a well thought out post. I really like the discussion going on here, but the philosophical rigor isn't really bridging the gap to practical things which bothers me a lot.

all self propagating systems come cross roads with the famous russels paradox. At some point they start making statements about themselves and this lets loose the bag of contradictions.
As the famous logician godel has shown, self referencing systems lead to paradoxes and inconsistencies, and eventually fail because of them

we dont discuss our strategies in public, rest be assured there is a draft

Thank you for the discussion as well, user, much appreciated.

>but the philosophical rigor isn't really bridging the gap to practical things which bothers me a lot.

Expand/ clarify if you will? Not sure what you mean by 'gap'.

I think the #3 response couldn't be made better. The accusation of ''he is an MKULTRA victim'' is on such shaky ground it shouldn't almost have to be even acknowledged. Just because the meme is widespread doesn't make it true or credible. The people who first came up with ''it was THIS government operation that made him ''nuts''.

There is nothing as credible as Ted's own account of what happened. One really has to get deep into conspiracy theories if they want to claim that Mkultra was decisive in Ted's intellectual development. PsyOps don't work like magic spells and turn healthy minds into zombie slaves. This shouldn't have to be said.

Why don't you go ask them?

>The FAQ is done if anons say it is done!

What was meant here is that it would be great if several anons took the time to read and critique.

Still tink it is very solid, specially because in has proven to be a collaborative effort, in the sense that it was very heavily directed in the answer-producing aspect by /TKG/ over all the threads.

Our first babby! Many more to come!

I am a admirer of stallman, linux and FOSS
>but there is no choice, you either take the whole package or reject the whole. FOSS software's can be put to evil deeds as well. It is actually more dangerous, if someone uses it with malicious intent.
> I recommend watching the movie STALKER by andrey tarkovsky

What about that collage of interview transcripts? That's enough for anyone to see how "abusive" it was. If they say that "no, it must have been much worse" there is nothing else you can do. That interview is basically the only thing people bring up with respect to MKULTRA. Someone would have to come up with another primary source on the supposed torture or else we are just arguing against rumors.

Mumford is a reformist. It seems that the geeral consensus on /TKG/ isthat 'good reform' not only is impossible, but actually the way the system perfects and perpetuates itself.

See pic related, an excerpt from Ted's short essay 'The System's Neatest Trick'.

Attached: Ted Kaczynski - The System's Neatest Trick.png (868x600, 157.94K)

we need to make point number 12 more palatable to blockheads. We need to show them that what they consider "more freedom" is just as much freedom which does not interfere with the workings of the system
and yes, point 3 needs more polish

Not associated with /TKG/

FOSS can be used with malicious intent. You can use it to program magnetic bearing and enrich uranium. The NSA can introduce backdoors, and even it once tried.
When linus torvals was asked about it, he nodded in yes, but said NO from his mouth.
Plus many are sceptical of ECDSA's RNG

neo-luddite is an umbrella term - it attacks a monolithic enemy, and enemy which welds everything to itself - all life, all minerals, all chemical compounds are welded to the monotech system

within the struggle against monotech the banners are varied, but discussion and cross-pollination is happening: there are crazy an-prims, who do struggle with a valid praxis, but may find things easier for their extreme ideas if 2020 continues to surprise and shock everyone; there are free (as in speech) tech advocates, who are technically technophiles but have a common enemy in monotech; and there are neo-luddites who do re-use and re-cycle the leftover artifacts of the industrial society. uncle ted used steel tools but was learning to use bone tools - the practicality of scavaging what one can from the scapheap of globalhomo should be combined with an idealism to see the advantages of full resiliance - being able to catch or grow all of the things that one needs or wants in life

i hope this helps. great threads - i'm certainly in the philosophical neighborhood and desu i think 95% of zoomers and 70% of millenials are as well

Attached: bloomer.jpg (1024x1024, 95.45K)

why do people tout that hes a 167 iq mathmatician? he hates math

Attached: 1585504494552.png (1239x1758, 1.15M)

Good poast. Very much agree that Technology/Nature distinction isn't real. The central true problem with techno-industrial system is that it's creating an ecology we are absolutely not suited for. Ultimately even going as far as making humans and human-like entities obsolete to make room for some different type of intelligence. That is assuming the system won't collapse, which nobody knows if will happen.

Isn't this the basic gist of it? Do I get something wrong?

Just a disclaimer here that ''we'' does not refer to TKG posters and there is absolutely no organization here intended for ''public action''.

Fair point. It's like an appeal to authority basically.

you need to be an uber class mathematician to see the flaws of mathematics. what he says is true, unfortunately. There are automated theorem provers which can churn out true statements from a given set of axioms simply by symbol shunting, without any adherence to their meanings.

yeah, because the moment we accept we have a plan, we are classified as terrorists

>>but there is no choice, you either take the whole package or reject the whole.

are you talking about the tedpill or FOSS?

> movie STALKER by andrey tarkovsky

i'll check it out - got an analysis video from yt up already - having done a little looking already myself, can you explain the connection that (you) see to the point i was making?

I agree that reform is not possible: mumford's philosophy of how to create polyteknics are useful to those who are planning on rebuilding in the wake of say, a catastrophic viral outbreak combined with an unexpected asteroid/comet coming into the inner solar system

desu i think this is the best way to avoid rebelliousness from being co-opted and curtailed by The System - how else do you suggest that we outwit it's greatest trick?

yes - both the FOSS philosophy and the tedpill need some serious work to become viable. FOSS is too idealistic and naive, but gives plenty of actionable praxis (just browse bug reports on your favourite FOSS software and feel overwhelmed), but the tedpill is highly realistic but perhaps leaves the taker with nothing to action

Attached: chadynski.jpg (2560x1761, 1.18M)

>The accusation of ''he is an MKULTRA victim'' is on such shaky ground it shouldn't almost have to be even acknowledged. Just because the meme is widespread doesn't make it true or credible.

OK, but no matter how shaky the ground, the MKULTRA thing has proven to be highly effective propaganda... that's why there is no other choice but to acknowledge and deal with it....

Of course Tedposters either A. believe it is bullshit, or B. simply do not care, because any tedposter understands that the ideas are a million times more important than Ted as a man and the stupid shit he actually did.

But the Ted-curious anons, the newcomers that the FAQ is obviously aimed at, (almost by definition since they have presumably not read his writings) have all been subject to that fucking goddamn MKULTRA-made-Ted-kill-people meme; it is a minor miracle that they would even care to read the FAQ let alone ISAIF, etc.

>There is nothing as credible as Ted's own account of what happened.

Really....????

To do a little Devil's-advocate here a little bit:

Why would you trust Ted to give you a straight answer as to any hypothetical psychological damage produced by MKULTRA...?

Of course he will say ''it was nuthin', really, just some pencil-paper questionnaires, that's all''... After all, Ted KNOWS that if it were proven that he sustained extensive psychological damage, his very valuable ideas would be ignored by 99.9% of the population.

For example: If you ask a well-known mafia boss if he has ever committed a crime, and he responds ''Idindunuffin' '', surely you would not beleive him.....

Why would anyone believe a convicted serial-killer's word ABOUT THE VERY THING that could 'invalidate' his philosophy in the eyes of the public....?

Attached: Surprise.jpg (208x250, 6.55K)

It is to paint a picture of him. To differentiate him from being a simple-minded lunatic. We want to create intrigue. We want to give a face and a story to the ideas. You tend to read books from people you have some clue about, don't you?

Mathematics is a terrible field in regard the future, no doubt.

how about you break the shackles of slavery and feed your power process by other means instead of belittling us.
GO READ ISAIF. I bet you cant read 27 pages, because it wont give you the instant pleasure that the incumbent system gives you. A well fed and well kept slave is the most docile, obedient and subservient

Hello indiaanon.

More on this, please?

What is the Russels Paradox....?

>As the famous logician godel has shown, self referencing systems lead to paradoxes and inconsistencies, and eventually fail because of them

More on this too, never even heard of this stuff.

It's good to have some one with mathz skills around here.......

>we need to make point number 12 more palatable to blockheads. We need to show them that what they consider "more freedom" is just as much freedom which does not interfere with the workings of the system

Very good point user. Will work on it. Do you know of any paragraphs in ISAIF (or Anti-Tech Revolution, or of any other Ted's works) from which this answer could be extracted....?

If so, please share.

Was this sarcastic? That's exactly how it works. Having a conspiracy to commit terrorist acts is pretty illegal. TKG is not in any shape or form affiliated with terrorism or intentions of propagation such foul activity.

Just fedposts somewhere else. This thread is for intellectual discussion.
