Bought my first gun today

The process was easy. I filled out a one page application, indicating that I was not a felon or a nigger. They entered the info into a state background check in a computer. It took 15 minutes to clear. Walked out with my new gun.

No you didn't. I'm a firearms dealer. That's not how it works. Unless you already have a ccw, you did not walk out in 15 minutes with a handgun. And they dont use a computer to check, you liar. They have to call it in.

The whole process took 30 Minutes. I filled out an application in paper and gave my drivers listened . The seller entered it into a computer. I browsed the store for 15 minutes. I saw the computer monitor, it said “pending”. Then a few more minutes it switched to “cleared”. Then bought with a credit card.
Why would I lie?

although i'm in texas, I did the same thing about a month ago. walked in fresh off of the street, picked a handgun out, they ran my license, and 20 minutes later i walked out with my gun and a couple boxes of ammo.

You have at least a 3 day waiting period on handgun purchases depending on the state you're in unless you have a concealed weapons permit. If they did a background check via the internet (which I know does exist, but NO ONE ever does that because its sketchy) and then let you walk out of the store with a handgun, they just broke the law. Either you're lying or the store you went to is the shadiest operation I've ever heard of and they will be shut down in no time.

no, in PA there is no waiting period, but waiting for the PICS system can take up to 15 days if your background check comes back RESEARCH. When I got my gun after the tranny fucker govenor allowed gun shops to reopen took an hour to get though the phone call process... but the actual process on the phone was two minutes.

congrats on your first gun. might I interest you in 10mm auto? make sure the springs are strong enough. you'll find ammo available in catastrophes, albeit a tad more pricey than common calibers
you should also consider 7.62x51 NATO if you live in a densely wooded or wide open area

my typical wait time for NICS check is literally 45 seconds. Gun store shop guy is always surprised when my NICS check comes back really quick. Can't say about now, it's probably longer

you can but the cartridge will heradspace on the rim/extractor, which will fuck it up because of forward inertia. yes it will work but you'll need to have extra extractors on hand. I certainly don't reccommend it simply out of principle, much like .380 out of 9x18

what's really getting my noggin joggin is that according to state law, i'm legally able to pick up my handgun after 10 business days, regardless of whether or not the state sent back the paperwork. but several days ago i asked one of the employees and she said "we don't follow state law, only federal. if we don't get the paperwork, you're not getting the gun"
