Still have a job where I get paid $23/hr

>still have a job where I get paid $23/hr
>currently unemployment is paying $24/hr and my state government is sending people on unemployment an additional $600 per week through July
How does this make any sense?
Why wouldn’t I want to be laid off?

because you don't want to be a useless piece of shit

That's what Lindsey Graham was talking about.

Leftism

Protip: People who worked through this will be doing much better financially than those who sat at home for 2-3 months. Youll get pay raises more easily because now ypu have bargaining power.

Cope wagie

I work at a hospital making 15 risking my life while my brother is getting paid like 25 to stay home this is bull

Because when it ends the extra unemployment will go back down and your next job will ask why you left your old one and if your answer is to cash out on unemployment..

>Youll get pay raises more easily because now ypu have bargaining power.

Thinking businesses give two fucks about your "loyalty". Have you looked around lately?

They will treat with the exact ruthlessness as before Corona, quite possibly worse as a result of feeling the need to cut costs (i.e. your wages/benefits)

You can't quit a job and get unemployment unless you can prove good cause. Right now it would be impossible.

>work from home
>get paid $34.80/ hr
>use laptop for work and desktop to shit post/ play vidya
im comfy

Nice digits

Job sounds comfy, what is it?

Do you have foreskin ?

You can't leave your job to claim unemployment retard. Your company has to lay you off. If you just quit to claim unemployment you are assed out

This. Imagine being so retarded you think you will have bargaining power.

Same, except I make $30/he working from home, but instead I play M&B Bannerlord BTFOing every paki caravan I see

Also anybody got a source on the $25/he unemployment claim?

I literally sit in my office locked all day long get paid $15 an hour to do 30 minutes of work every day.

Started bringing some of my hobbies to work and working on that.

This is based, never have to see or talk to anyone and I get to be away from my family all day.

Only thing that would be better is if I had my own house.

False. You can 100% claim that you left because of self quarantine due to symptoms

field service tech
company is nationwide
has a few warehouses stationed across the globe
been ordered to stay at home and push bback all client service visits until middle of end of April
been shit posting more often since begining of march.

>$30/hour
>”working at home” so I’m playing videogames all day
>1.2k In trump bucks coming
>3k In Abe bux coming
This virus is so fucking based

>working from home selling luxury boats and yachts
>was worried because i'm on commission and didn't think i would be selling anything for a while
>have a bit of savings not too worried
>mfw phone won't stop ringing
>mfw I sell a 115 footer
>mfw customer names it "Plan B"
>mfw receive a 160K commission cheque

Life is good anons

>makes $160,000 selling one boat
I refuse to believe this

>told i don't qualify for unemployment because i was out of work for 6 months in early 2019 (where i also didn't qualify for unemployment)
THE FUCK TRAIN IS HERE BEND OVER AND GET FUCKED

k.
3% of 5.2 mil is 156k, so i did lie a little.

FML, i really should get into sales

I agree, why would commission be so high for something that a person is going to buy regardless?
do you have leads? How often do you up sell someone to a bigger boat than they come in for?
I feel like if someone wants a massive yacht a salesman wouldn't really have that much of an impact

Also I sure as SHIT would not want to look for a job after this is over. You'll be competing with tens of millions more people than you usually have to.

It's not easy but it's worth it. Had this client on the line for over a year, wouldn't pull the trigger. wanted a 2011 sunseeker 115, had some trouble negotiating, the virus changed his mind. Bought under the condition we could ship to florida within 14 days. made it happen before the borders closed

Lies

what do you service if you dont mine me asking?

This. The job market is gonna be fucked. I was already worried about finding a job after uni, but those worries have increased exponentially since this started.

I work on print devices that scale from 2 feet printable space up to 16 feet printable space.
Some machines are 8k, other machines can be 1.25 mill
industrial tech support for print devices.

Commission is 3% of all inventory regardless if you sell a 32 foot searay or a superyacht. You literally can not buy a boat without paying a salesperson. It takes a lot of work and a ton of follow ups. I get leads organically and through my company, i also have to travel to the factories when they want to build new. I've been at it for 5 years and this was my biggest sale.

with the population decreasing because of this virus, i highly doubt you will have a hard time find a job going into the summer when everyone wants to get back up to speed at double the rate.

for the last 5 years, whats your average take home

ahahahahahaha
oh man you think they reward loyalty and hard work
wow
just wow

all you've done is shown you'll stay in line through a world crisis. why would they ever consider you to have more bargaining power after such a cuckish move

200K a year last 4, sell about 30 boats a year. first year i only pulled 60K. You get a lot of business from referrals as well

Insane. Wonder if this is an actual baby boomer retard. Make sure to give your boss a strong firm handshake buddy.

Employers are only gonna want experienced employees who they won't have to train after all this is done(if this ever ends). People fresh out of college or with little to no experience are fucked.

>Why wouldn’t I want to be laid off?
Because unemployment payments wont be that high forever. Meanwhile with a job, you'll enjoy the same standard of living after this blows over without having to job hunt again. I can see how its tempting though.

thats really well done mate. i hear being in sales can be rough the first year. Thats something i would like to make, would make living here a little easier. I would probably build a Siheyuan with a japanese courtyard mixed in modern architect.

>$100/hr
>can’t work from home
>get extra $25/hr as hazard pay

People without jobs could easily save all that extra though. Makes no sense to have ex baristas get paid more than emts when they're sitting at home doing fuckall and just made coffee before this.

>$100/hr
Get a fucking salary already.

Lmao loser

What state?
In NJ it caps at $713 weekly, then you have the 600 from federal government.

Did the math for my state (NJ)
Outside of SS benefits and insurance, 401k and matching here is my napkin math with the extra $600 dollars per week in federal unemployment benefits.

Of course this assumes you commute to free for work too and have no expenses as part of your job....

Each job assumes full time 40 hour week

Minum wage ($10) earner in NJ would see a 110% increase in wages when unemployed.
At $15 an hour, a 60% increase
At $20 an hour a 30% increase
At $25 an hour a 20% increase
At $30 an hour a 9.4% increase
Finally at $33 an hour, you would see a 0.6% decrease in pay

...however NJ unemployment is not State Taxable (the federal $600 might be).

So it gets even more fucked.
You probably earn more unemployed than at $35 or even $38 an hour in this state

WHY THE FUCK CAN'T I BE FURLOUGHED!

>Getting people off this dole is going to be impossible when they see their checks

Attached: 1585920051027.png (361x287, 170.87K)

>People without jobs could easily save all that extra though
lol

Wow a two week quarantine. Nice try claiming 4 months unemployment for that

Yas Forums the sweet spot is getting on partial furlough. This is where you can have a higher paying job and still collect partial unemployment insurance if your state allows it. I will be making an extra $600, that’s a lot of tendies.

>partial furlough
Got any more info on this?

You mean to tell me an extra 600 a week + some and a person couldn't save really? What the fuck are people even buying?

spit in your bosses face, problem solved

>You mean to tell me an extra 600 a week + some and a person couldn't save really?
For most people on unemployment who typically have a high time preference, yes.

We can't even really go much if anywhere, it's not like it's hard to save money. What the fuck are people even buying at a certain point?

I was a NEET, can I still apply and make money as a NEET?

of*

It's unemployment you had to have any non essential job prior to this that you paid taxes with.

LMAO You naive child. The only people with bargaining power after this will be the employers.

lol you are poor nigger I make $14/hr in my third world country while playing $200 for my home. How do you even live in first world country when you are bottom tier worker? All i have to do is work just for one 12hour shift and i pay for month worth food

A lot of people are leaving jobs due to "safety issues" right now. They might be able to make a case that their last job didn't provide proper equipment or clean enough given the virus hysteria.

No but you were likely getting money and benefits for doing nothing to begin with.

Newly made NEETs get tons of tendies, while wagies BETTER GET IN THEIR FUCKING CAGIES and get the coofs or else, older NEETs just get their usual tendies.

All I want in life is something like a 77 lagoon catamaran. I'm sad
