Zeus was introduced to Greece during the Indo-Aryan expansion, where he was imposed as the head deity of a pre-existing pantheon that had been led by Yam. During this event, Yam was given the Indo-European name "Poseidon", which means "Lord of Earth", and is a mirror of his earlier name Enki, also meaning "Lord of Earth".

Further, Poseidon's father was Cronus, who is El according to both the ancients (like Sanchuniathon) and modern scholars. Just like Yahweh's original father was El. That is why both El and Yahweh are present in the Tanakh.

I can't recall entirely but they have myths of being expelled in a war between one of Kronos sons and Jupiter. Not exactly the same but similiar. They use a double trident symbol I forget what the root word they used but I thought it was important its kinda pronounced as a 'z' but if you look at it from other languages it means water or fish. Strangely still it appears in old Chinese bone language for 'wu'.

In my view, it's a representation of mastery over the MATERIAL realm. Thus the names Enki and Poseidon, both meaning "Lord of Earth". In other words, Yahweh is not the true god. He is the the demiurge - Yaldabaoth as the gnostics called him. The transcendent True God who is outside this world is Zeus.
