Anyone else feel uneasy with how 1984 this term seems? Like doublethink or newspeak. I had never heard this term before the corona and suddenly everyone earth is telling you about "Social distancing" as if it's something everybody already knew about and *isnt weird*
The term itself is weird and is literally the concept of 1984, an oxymoron and self contradictory. "social" isn't "distanced".
in Australia people call it "physical distancing" unless they have brain failure.
Dominic Lewis
it is interesting how readily the term has been adopted by the mainstream but I'm not that worried about this term specifically because it only really has relevance in the context of a pandemic... The concept has forced people to rely more heavily on the internet where ideas are more readily spread between individuals so depending how you want to look at it it could be a good thing strengthening the dialogue of the citizenry or a bad thing if it is making it easier to shove ideas down people's throats
Kayden Davis
Political Correctness started exact same way September 12 2001
False. >Born 1967, was an adult during both decades, I would know.
Connor Nelson
You can't even name without Googling what politician first coined the phrase and where he was what time of day when he first announced it, nor his exact phrase. I can.
talk of it surrounded the election of clinton in '92.
Wyatt Jackson
That's not the Orwellian concept political correctness. For example, Let's Roll was a phrase before September 11. Starting September 11, it meant something more ominous. Just admit you don't know.
Brayden Kelly
its my 2nd least favorite phrase. right after "global citizen"
Gavin Rogers
What's going to be the next buzz word?
"Have you had your citizen I.D. implanted ?"
Feel like this is a precursor to mandatory vaccine checks before they allow you to travel on the autocars
Chase Garcia
>we have always been at war with the Coronavirus >we have always been in quarantine >now get back in your pod, citizen, this is an unlawful assembly
Ian Thomas
very strange how people started using that term almost without even thinking about it. just parroting what they've seen on the news i guess. maybe they just want to come off as "up to date" or "informed" but still... very weird man. anybody i hear say that shit without blinking, i immediately know those are the people that would follow the herd off a cliff.
Yeah all the new terminology seems 1984 as hell. This entire plandemic is such a spooky time.
Asher Reyes
Here, faggot who wasn't there.
"Starting now, we all have to be careful what we say." - Ari Fleischer, 9/12/2001
Immediately every television (((journalist))) from national to small market affiliate started all eerily baaing the term Political Correctness like sheep and by end of the week you could lose your job for not obeying it. THAT is what OP refers to by his unease with the term, NOT some stupid fucking TV show the later use stole the name from. He's talking about the Orwellian concept. Learn to read and don't get in the face of somebody who was actually over 11 when it happened and saw it ALL. Faggot disinformation shill.
Jose Foster
Internet whitelist coming soon. Most normies won't care either. Elites gotta shut down that (((misinformation)))
Logan James
I dunno man, this is gonna change things for a while. People are so fucking paranoid right now, they won't go near each other, etc. Things will take a long time to get back to what was normal, if ever.
And just what about next flu season, and the next -- is this gonna be some recurring nightmare?
Daniel Young
you might have been an adult but apparently you were in a coma
Mason Long
I did it bros, I had the bat flu, took a bunch of fever and cough meds and headed off to work. Now others have been infected. Kek times ahead. They will never know who it was.
Blake Morales
they already have implanted the idea of reporting deviation (at least the concept)
Caleb Morgan
>social isn't distanced Lol, "get put of my personal space bubble", anyone ever tell you that? It doesn't mean they hate you.
Evan Bailey
Suck a moist dick.
Dominic Murphy
you're finally seeing the yoke pull the fat dirty whore of a cow named America
Yeah and it's peak cringe, like when my 60 year old mom first used the phrase (((mental health)))
I can see her being influenced by the retard millennial teachers she works with
Parker Carter

Logan Long
Nope, they would swab test people but they can't know for sure how long the virus has been in your system. This person was the first to show visible symptoms and we all know that you can transmit it before they act up. Mine have since subsided.
Adam Martin
I was born in 71, political correctness was known throughout society in the early 90s, supposedly the term was invented by Maoists
Nolan Allen
they are useless
Brandon Hall
Don't know but it's good you're thinking about it.
Gavin Gomez

Data love = mass surveillance and auditing of personal communication over the networks
This is some glownigger speak used by a cult of Yiddish nerds working for NSA/JIDF, but it came before this happening

We have always lived in clown world. Most people are mindless puppets.
This is all beyond what Marx, Stalin, or Mao communist wet dream currently happening throughout the globe. In the USA, we have surrendered our liberty for the illusion of security by big daddy government. That is why #filmyourhospital is definitely ruffling the (((MSM))) feathers because there are dissidents to the utopian-goycattle scheme the are setting up for us. It is full power grabs at this point and we are stupidly playing into this epidemic like it is truly an extinction event. Wake up.
Social distancing is actually the political incorrect term cause it implies we have to distance ourself socialy. The correct term is physical distancing. It implies we are just physicly distanced but can still be social. just clownworld things in clownworld.
That's how it is with every meme word the media starts using. I remember waking up one day and realizing that everybody around me has just started using the term "fake news" at the exact same time. Instant global communication synchronizes people, it turns us into NPCs.
Justin Wood
good job
Hunter Wood
It is associated with the Flight 93 fairy tale about the courageous passengers who managed to crash the jet in a field so it couldn't be used for terrorism, which they apparently learned about from technically impossible cell phone calls made during the flight.
If you are wondering why there is no visible plane debris whatsoever, it is because the totally real plane just happened to crash into an abandoned mineshaft!
Oliver Baker
Anyone who uses the term "fake news" is invariably a liar or a dupe of some kind. It's like the way that highly conformist NPCs used to say "think outside the box" in the 90s
Dominic Robinson
i didnt even think about it like that but you're fucking right man... that word alone will subconciously put that in peoples minds and they will act on it without even knowing.
Eli Walker
Britbongs must be pretty used to it by now :D
Justin Scott
is it just me or do you want me to plow my Flight 93 into your abandoned mine shaft, daddy?!
Jason Jenkins
no mate, they are referring to it as 'social distancing' don't fucking lie
On sept 12. It became institutionalized. “Not all muslims want to kill us, only radical ones” and then came the dont call people gay/faggot commercials. Obama wasnt even pro gay marriage goinf into the white house and years being there. Think about how fast shit changes
Jason Cox
Demand Congress legalize murder of military commanders and their families by incomprehensible torture.
Asher Brown
100% bro. I've been saying this to my friends. it is precisely a newspeak term. Clearly its meaning is martial law lockdown, stay in your little box and don't even think about resisting or disobeying. It's a very friendly, politically correct term that implies you are doing the right thing. It's very fucking social isn't it? This leads to a further idea of mine. That 'politcal correctness' is to be the one world religious belief system. It's been shilled so hard and for so long, we've become oh so tolerant and accepting of what is now unfolding. Political correctness itself is newspeak
