What are some of the arguments against people pointing out Trump's failure with confronting the coronavirus pandemic?
People keep saying that he downplayed and minimized the dangers of virus for months before doing anything, said it's like a flu, failed to ensure hospitals have PPE and ventilators, failed to get testing earlier and now we're looking at hundreds of thousands of dead, more than any country in the world.
I know Trump didn't do anything wrong because I watch Fox News and they say it's all Dems fault, but I just don't have any arguments against their points. Can you help me?

The emergence of a mildly dangerous virus doesn't change anything about Trump. If he was too dangerous and authoritarian to be trusted with power before Corona, he's too dangerous and authoritarian to be trusted with power now. If these people think Trump is like the next Hitler, do they really want him to have the power to control the movement of US citizens in their own country, or say what businesses are allowed to operate?

Testing is done differently in a lot of countries, so you’re not “doing better”. You’re just comparing random numbers that in no way tell you anything about actual mortality. According to the statistics, we’d have a mortality rate of over 10% in the Netherlands, but because we do a ridiculously low amount of testing, the actual cases are likely between 10 and 100 times more than the statistics currently reflect, probably dropping the mortality rate between 1,0 and 0,1%.
It’s the actual mortality rate that should be studied, and even that depends on the way deaths are registered.
