I also wouldn’t count out the idea that the farming system for these sports in the States is fishy to say the least, and is set up in a way to groom black athletes for careers in sports and overlook young white players. It’s anecdotal evidence, but the city I grew up in had separate leagues for public and Catholic high schools. The public schools were entirely black and the private Catholic schools were entirely white. They crossed paths once a year on Thanksgiving for a game of football and across the board, every year, til this day, the Catholic schools obliterate they public schools. Yet you only hear about the kids from public schools making it to prominent colleges or even the NFL, or players being “all city” as kids but never “all Catholic.”

If there is such a huge difference in ability, why do all white high school teams beat all black ones consistently? If you can blame that on better coaching and funds then how significant is difference in the ability anyway, if some better coaching can destroy it?
