Cybernetic Body - Would You Dive In?

>pic related
>Assuming you would have maintenance support for 100 years guaranteed, would you dive in this body and leave your meat suit behind permanently?
>Hardened against hacking, but not totally immune and you control a kill switch when you can abort and execute plan S at any time you want.

I'm in the process of trying to make this a reality.

I'm starting off slow by getting a degree in computer science, and then me and a mate who's a mechanical engineer can make this shit work.

I'll keep you guys posted in the future as to how it goes

Also unintentional reddit spacing. Sorry I'm not a fucking faggot I just read better this way

When they make a version of windows that never crashes I may consider it. So probably never.

what is plan S ? O_o
also yes

Go odluck with that, chang

Hey I'm not some gook fucking slit eye, but cheers for the encouragement

youtu.be/-L_75cyualg?t=99

Sure I'll chop off a leg and an arm and then some organs but they're not going to take my brain out of my skull.

Just imagine have a bunch of few century old cyber boomers who could tell stories from their 100s of year long lives could be pretty crazy for keep knowledge alive. I guess the issue is would you ever fully be able to transfer a consciousness or would it be some kind of computer adaption,

That's my goal, genetically engineer the brain to never age (and surrounding extremities), and then cybernetically replace all other functioning parts of the body; eventually you'd have a Raiden kinda body and a constant stream of pain dampeners on your nerves to suppress the sheer amount of pain you'd be in otherwise

Wouldn't need to, read my prior post in response to

No, I'll stay a meatbag thanks.

Lol. You'll get your first programming job and realize how comfortable it is to have a phat paycheck rolling in every two weeks and will abandon this dream. Best of luck with your degree fren.

Ty bro, but I'm set man. I don't give a fuck about money, this is the one thing that I want to accomplish. I'm probably exposing myself to my friends who browse pol cause I talk about this extensively all the time but I'm certified on trying to achieve this, even if it kills me in the end. My parents think I'm insane but I don't care

If I had a good chance of being able to live for hundreds if not thousands of years then sure

No
Legitimately no, I would not

lol

It would only contain a souless copy of your thoughts while your spirit would be recycled.

Based cyber Aussie. Good luck

When I make this a reality, your people are absolutely fucked. No cybernetics for you jew, you're gone when I get this going

my spine is crumbling to nothing
I spend 8 grand a year to stay out of a wheelchair
I work construction at 13.50 an hour just to afford that 8 grand a year
I would be the first person to volunteer to get a robot body

Thank you bro, I'm only gonna give this tech to people who are absolutely based so we can all be Samuel Hayden's together

As long as it's my brain in the body, sure. Otherwise fuck that.

Bring humanity into the future, Aussie. Even if it means dragging the subhumans that are kicking and screaming about bigotry or whatnot, I want a robot body to wreck bug people in.

can I get recharged via solar power?

>leave flesh prison of a mechanically inferior one.
wew lad

Thank you bro, I'm currently creating a website to detail and log my progress. This will take most likely 20 years of my life to get the body operational, but it's replacing vital chemicals and fluids (such as glucose and other hormones that organs produce) to the brain and I'm not too sure right now as to how you could regulate that properly safely with mechanical pumps/energy tradeoffs etc.

Is... is that a mechanised crossbow dick with a built in tripod support?

>Loose leg, get a replacement
>HUURRRR YOU LOST UR SOUL!!!!
Nigger like you are the reason we aren't mining asteroids and driving around on Mars right now.

I’ll keep my brain and most of my central nervous system, but as far as arms, legs, and organs I’d be rid of those for the most part and replace them with better versions in a nice strong chassis.

I am not convinced that having a cybernetic brain would be “me” at all. If anything at all in that route I would have to have a seamless transition between meat and fully cybernetic consciousness over a long period of time.

>he’s never played Kenshi
It’s an excellent singleplayer game during the apocalypse, with mod support. I’ve sunk countless hours into it.

It does look pretty good I've got to admit.

Interestingly enough I have a friend going down the same path. Similar in determination, but he’s going down the route of Evangelion and growing synthetic humans for immortality and biomechanics rather than solely mechanical and robots. I wish you the best though, and if you one day repost, I hope you post that website to follow your progress user.

Yeah I've never been a big fan on the idea that you remove your brain and who you are. I'd much prefer the system of changing everything except for my brain, eyes, CNS (probably not possible but if we can unlock how that works then we can), and face.

It would look pretty grot, like Robocop style look but I think that would be the first step towards a true, seamless cybernetic body.

>Hardened against hacking
>Software/Hardware made in Israel, US or China
>Or Russian shit which would be more likely to be hacked by Ivan in his shitty block house than a glownigger
Oh goy, cybernetics has to be post current era when the Jew is no more

Yeah I thought about that, but I'm no good with chemistry and cellular biology (right now at least), so I may as well use my skills as a programmer/engineer and try get the mechanical section working now.

This. Not all of your being is in your brain and can be scanned up. Studies will find once the singularity occurs that our consciousness is more intangible than originally thought. Possibly even that our consciousness is metaphysical and that our brains are merely radio dishes to channel it into physicality. Could be wrong of course but that would be cool.

The screenshots are from my playthrough rather than any cutscenes. It’s on Steam for like 25$, and honestly it’s the best money I’ve ever spent. However it’s one of those “make your own journey” strategy-RPGs, so there’s no main campaign beyond what you want to make of it.

Not if it is connected to the internet or I have to go through Google to update it.

In a heartbeat
>t. Broken from sports

Youre based, keep us posted and use your knowledge to destroy niggers and commies please.

Sure. The human body has way too many limitations. Here I could cosoom and buy myself a sturdier chassis.

Only if it has two hydraulic penis'

Can you imagine the absolutely nightmare reality of having google or Microsoft run system update pop ups at set times where you eventually have to restart your consciousness or it forces you? Think about all the inane bloatware that would be hardwired into your conscious mind where you are driven by the urge to buy bling for your cybernetic body. Think about all of a sudden being incapable of not buying the newest top 40 albums because you’re hardwired to be a normie consumer.

>Solar flare occurs
>die
Nope.

>>not lead-lining my sensitive hardware.

Please, mortal.

Fuck no

I have subcutaneous magnets in my dick and hand I.e. generator. FapPing charges my phone.

good luck beating us to it

You cannot live forever & your soul will not be uploaded to your "body".

You guys have fallen for the biggest gnostic agenda peice the elites want to push in the next 50 years.

That may end up being true, where you simply cannot dive into a cybernetic body. However the question was more about, would you, given the opportunity where it was in fact reality.

(((transhumanism)))

great...

>Would You Dive In?
No. Everyone knows first gen winds up being shit. Let the idiots beta test.

can i get a cybernetic dick so i can cum harder?

The only thing I would replace, are body parts.
But there is also the risk, that those bodyparts can be "hacked".
I imagine it will be like this, cybernetics will make great advancements in the next decades.
But to properly function they will be connected to your nervoussytem, and I am pretty sure that (((they))) will try you control trough this.

A good example

youtube.com/watch?v=HW1V1HQ5PDE

if you watch the first ghost in the shell, they essentially have a spectrum. Some people have the most minor modification which is like an extra hard drive in your brain with net access. Then everything up to and including full cybernetic bodies that a "ghost" or "consciousness" can download into. The questions still remain, what does it mean to be human and what is the soul etc...

Yes, humantiy could be also in this state, but who knows what the future might hold.

implants on the market for "upgrades" as you say to replace body parts, organs, or whatever, I would tend to agree that is a very likely scenario to play out in this timeline.

>my spine is crumbling to nothing
>I spend 8 grand a year to stay out of a wheelchair
>I work construction at 13.50 an hour just to afford that 8 grand a year

Why the fuck would you subject yourself to general labour only to destroy your body more and more? Why not get a cushy office job with better pay so you don’t end up in a wheelchair?

I think, those "upgrades" will be available, when I am an old geezer.

Nah, don't bother with mechanical arms with only two links. Use trillions of links!

orionsarm.com/eg-topic/46cba1093d4a5

It is easier than you two might first assume.

Remember, for example, nanostructured materials. Actually national geographic had a really cool set of pictures of for example stacked pyramids on the micrometer level (centered cubic structure, every floor vertex rested on one roof/point vertex, seems nonsensical but works). Eh, can't find it. Just look at these pictures: search for "nanostructured material 3d" or microstructured material. Attached DNA when it is rolled-up as a hylotech example of mesoscopic-scale engineering ("manufacturing").

I want to fight against a nanocyborg!

It takes too long to process this stuff like how everyone else does it. You will accomplish nothing. Learn how to use GNU GuixSD and QEMU, guix environment and guix profile within it. Dual-boot guix and nix because nix had more tools than guix (although guix-hpc had already ported most of the software packages you would need). You do it like so, with an nvme drive of 2tib ($200 eg force mp510):
- / is default btrfs subvolume
- /users/ is another subvolume, with os-specific symlinks to files like ".bashrc" and ".bash_history" over to another subvol /users/-guix or /users/-nix
- /oses/nix and /oses/guix are the subvolumes for nixos and guixsd
- install nix
- due to a bug in bootloader.scm, for now, install guix into the / root default subvolume (do not change the default subvol)
...

Okay there are more than a few steps. Let me know if you want me to write up a quick tutorial, start now and you'll be programming by the end of the day (if you work on this all day today).

Also matlab, matgematica and labview are neat, but compared to a good cooperative linux setup, they are only good for trashing.

What about AI, wont they be a great help, creating those "robotic limbs" ?
