I always liked Weigraf, for his slow boil story line. He starts out incredibly based, but poorly skilled and unable to back it up, an antagonist from your point of view while you still are fighting for the powers that be, still being very sheltered at this point yourself. Then you both see the horrors of war firsthand and both are affected very directly by them and it sends you both down completely opposite paths. He slowly becomes less based and lets himself be consumed by vengeance and then a demon, while you slowly abandon your blind devotion to the powers that be in favor of a much more based and redpilled approach to the situation in Ivalice. Weigraf ends up serving the very powers he started out wanting to oppose, while you who start out serving them end up taking them down.
