If you really want to find out what is going on with this ship just do these simple steps:
find out the name of the ship that is supposedly in NYC (if it's a hospital ship it's either the Mercy or the Comfort). Go to that ship's Facebook page, it should be USNS whatever and find people that are following the ship, it'll be a shit ton of sailors and their spouses/girlfriends then read posts from the sailors, they literally cannot keep their mouth fucking shut about anything. If there are tons of kids brought aboard the ship there will be posts about it. Even if they don't know why there are kids being brought on the ship someone is going to bitch about all of these little kids running around.
The ship has internet and computers to use. This is while it's out at sea. The ship is in port, which means everyone has their cellphones on them. That means they are going to be posting on fucking Facebook. If somehow the Navy managed to snatch everyone's cellphone to keep this super secret operation a secret, then their loved ones are going to be posting about how everything is locked down and they can't call Timmy or whatever.
