>CEO and founder is literally a chink who failed to emigrate to the US for 9 times, and then succeeded >he literally worked on WebEx for years and then magically started Zoom with all the same features as WebEx >suddenly became extremely popular just as the coronavirus pandemic happened
It's literally a planned mass-surveillance takeover. Whether it's the CCP or the CIA I know not but it's clearly a surveillance app.
Wait can Zoom record me if I don't have the webcam turned on? I have been spending most of my lessons wanking to women who turn their webcam on
Matthew Johnson
Holy shit. You might be right. I didn't know wtf this was when I checked the AppStore to buy iTunes credits.
Nolan Thomas
My school last semester started installing zoom on many computers on campus. Even teachers used them to show math work in projectors.
Jack Rodriguez
I think so. If you "mute" in Zoom and then talk, a notification will pop up saying "hey, you're muted!" Which means that even when "muted" the software is still listening.
God knows what they do with the webcam.
Eli Bailey
I want this semester to end so I can uninstall this spyware.
Josiah Bailey
It was already integrated and popular in colleges. None of you have ever been to a fucking college, have you?
The only difference now is that people are talking about it more and public schools are using it. The curious thing for me is the infrastructure. That shouldn't have developed overnight.
Bentley Cox
>The curious thing for me is the infrastructure. That shouldn't have developed overnight. Hence the bit about it being a planned takeover.
Sebastian Fisher
I work in remote tech support. we switched from WebEx to zoom like a year ago. If there's a backdoor or something in the software that could be catastrophic for a lot of huge businesses.
Jace Long
kek
Carter Gutierrez
I just looked over the terms of service and.....
user I have bad news...
Gabriel Sanders
I FUCKING ZOOOOOOOM 2 TO 6 TIMES A DAY FOR WORK
Joshua Parker
Funny that Zoom and TikTok are more popular than ever during the Yellow Plague, and both CEOs are chinks. Interdasting...
my friend thought he was muted, but was jerking off and it streamed to his whole AP physics class. he is devastated.
Tyler Carter
All software which records and transmits personal information is just surveillance ware. Even if that isn't its main purpose, Edward Snowden proved that the US government effectively has the power to examine all communications at all times. Further, corporations have discovered that selling this data to the highest bidder makes far more money than any paywall for their application. If the government so desires it, they could either purchase the data or legally compel companies to hand it over. Privacy over the internet does not exist.
Adrian Murphy
Spend $2 and get a sliding webcam cover... too many things can activate your camera without a notification
Lincoln Martin
Lmao zoom. Wework 2.0
Daniel Perry
Fuck I love China those FuMen really know how to create tech
Jonathan Powell
I was singing songs about hating kikes and niggers and loving Hitler. Not sure if the staff meeting heard me. It was before I officially joined but when I picked up my phone the shit was on and speaker was clicked
Charles Rogers
This. I have a piece of tape over camera unless I need to use it
Luke Brooks
As per usual, Yas Forums resorts to all the uneducated, uninformed, and easy-to-spin-as-a-conspiracy-against-muh-freedums answers it can get ahold of.
The company itself isn't that bad, or shady, there's tons of organizations in the software industry who have a focus on delivering software solutions rapidly, which aren't necessarily well secured.
Their business model involves partnering up with ad networks, which is fairly common for unpaid software.
Other than that, they've done nothing that can be describred as malicious.
>muh backdoors tho, I be redpilled on muh windows pro OS!!
Mason Davis
Or a rolled up pair of socks.
Cameron Nelson
it's already been confirmed that there's at least two backdoors....
Jason Adams
We all use ubuntu nigga, where the fuck you think you are?
If a chink owns it then it has to go. Kill all chinks
John Phillips
Uh, zoom has been popular for a long time.
Just because the majority of Drumpftards arent up to date with the amount of many online Internet businesses for years, obviously its only popular when their news source starts saying it is.
Skype just as good though, but zoom was definitely focused on businesses so it could be slightly better. I'm sure there's several alternatives that will be coming out soon due to the pandemic, I might even develop one myself.
Samuel Hernandez
The scary thing is our entire telemed is based off this for the whole state. t.mobile fag that does testing and implementation
Matthew Wright
when this is all over, i hope we get to nuke china again
Camden Robinson
it records all meetings, can't delete them
Jayden Russell
The vast majority of Yas Forums runs Windows 10 and the official Chrome browser, I ran a bait campaign a few weeks ago to gather os+browser information, this place is packed with nothing but boomer looneys and low functioning schizos and autists
Juan Jones
What is the glownigger approved spying solution then? Cisco WebEx? LOL
Yes, but features are limited and would be a much higher stress on the pc.
Jayden Diaz
They just use aws or something and global dns to connect to a local data center. Their infrastructure was built by Amazon for general use and they are just buying more capacity as the demand increases.
Hunter Garcia
What's with the unchecked bigotry, bro? It's Yas Forums, so I can't know for certain if you're being serious or just ironic. It boggles my mind how someone could hold such a blind hatred for a group as big and diverse as the Chinese
You make some very cute implications, kill all the chinese and their collaborators. I am not your bro.
Carter Brown
Use TOR for Internet and Tails (Linux distro) for your OS.
That said, the majority of the Internet won't be able to load for you, because TOR blocks every single feature that would possibly give information away (cookies, java script, etc etc).
That, plus for privacy it is Way slower than usual using TOR. There's a mobile version of TOR as well.
Before you start using Tor at all, understand how it works.
Yas Forums doesn't let u use TOR, so if an anonymous message board doesn't let you use it, that's saying something.
Christian Ramirez
It always gets me when people in the US are terrified of the CCP spying on them through Huawei phones.
What are they going to do, use parallel construction and go after you in federal court? Our government is a much bigger danger to the average american.
Tyler Ward
It always gets me when people like you always have to compare which intelligence agency is the bigger threat. By using proper E2E encryption you can filter out eavesdropping from ALL of these surveillance niggers. You don't have to weigh which is the worse BECAUSE THEY'RE ALL BAD.
Joshua Edwards
The Internet is way slower using Tor due to how it works (typo forgot to include Internet).
Aiden Gomez
fair enough
Easton Edwards
Can confirm >t. autist
Gavin Williams
why use it then? what can i reliably access if I get TOR?
Landon Lewis
Vpns and proxy give you a thin layer of privacy, but if you are ultra paranoid and want the absolute best protection, learn what Tor is and how to use it.
Also, prepare to sacrifice nearly everything you use due to how it uses data. But hey, there is a price to pay for absolute privacy.
Dylan Smith
It's also weird how Microsoft incorporated Teams into Office just a few months before the pandemic. Now I'm seeing Microsoft Teams ads popping up everywhere.
Ayden Sullivan
what the fuck is zoom anyways and why is everyone using it
Ayden Howard
Think Web 1.0.
Aka, when the Internet was message boards and text only websites with some graphics.
That's pretty much it.
David Cook
Oh shit, it's an application? I figured it was a website. Fuck no, nobody should install that.
Nathaniel Peterson
Insider tip - the world's largest multinational management consulting firm conducts the majority of conference calls over Zoom. They are moving to Zoom for one-on-one calls world wide. If you rely on them for management consulting, then realize that the CCP knows your business plans.
So you're not trolling, then? Do you consider that mentally/emotionally stable people go around calling for the deaths of billions of people?
Might wanna get that checked out by a professional at some point
Daniel Scott
Lolz.
Noah Turner
My mom even downloaded it a few days ago apparently to do video chats with her friends...I don’t know who suggested it. It’s honestly weird as fuck.
Eli Taylor
What infrastructure? It's a popular tool for remote video and conference calling. I've been using it for work for years.
Kayden Torres
Can it see your screen?
Isaac Campbell
Imagine using chink spyware
Xavier Sanders
Small business shouldn't give a fuck about this because they aren't big enough for anyone to try to steal plans (not enough money to be gained for other companies). Medium business might give more consideration to privacy and definitely for large businesses.
However, most business don't give as much as a fuck as they should about privacy.
A blatant reminder as to why is the crypto wall incident which happened with the NHS in the UK. Government ended up to having pay millions of dollars to the Russians to get back their medical data.
I've also had crypto wall myself on my own PC, and I have solved many malware and viruses after trying multiple methods, but ransomware(ie. Crypto wall), the only cure is prevention of it happening.
Oh, and there's no responsibility to give your data back on the other end, they could just take your money (bitcoin is the only payment option, and that's hard to trace as well) and run.
Carter Wilson
Oh shit am I infected here too?
Mason Rogers
I never heard of zoom till this started
William Anderson
Video conferencing software. People are using it because they can't meet in person
Levi Collins
It has a screenshare function so... yes?
Mason Bell
>Small business shouldn't give a fuck about this If it actually is state spyware, you're still feeding your voice and face to train face-recognition and voice-generation softwares.
Anthony Perez
same. and I just graduated college last year
Ayden Green
China is waging information warfare across the world. I think all the nations are, but its a war for your mind, and the ability to control who you think are your friends and enemies, and eventually to make you a thoughtslave.
Aiden Rodriguez
My point is that most if not all multinational corporations are compromised. If you think your Chinese competition doesn't know what you are planning, then you are an idiot.
China has been doing this a lot recently >Tik tok >Zoom >WYZE CAM Especially look into WYZE CAM. They make webcams that have free 1080p rolling 14 day cloud storage. Why is it free? Because they can see and hear whatever someone is doing on their computer. Frankly, I bet there's some malicious code in there too to create a backdoor when it's activated and you can't use the webcam unless you allow it to make """changes to your computer""" Chinese are really trying to follow the Jews on the whole spying thing.
