I work security for a private community. I'm technically a first responder, so I'm "essential". I interact with many, many boomers a day. They always want to shake hands and make me crawl into their car. Nobody is practicing social distancing, nobody is respecting the stay-at-home order, people are going out in what seems like direct defiance of the order.
And I found out recently that fucking Chipotle and Olive Garden are getting hazard pay, but not only am I not getting hazard pay but I've heard through the grapevine that the company isn't honoring unemployment for sites that HAVE been deemed unessential.
They also recently sent out an email reminding clients that guards are easily replaced should we get sick or decide "not to come to work" (self isolate for client safety).

I do maintainence in a commercial office building. Most of the people in the building are working from home, but we host a data center than allows the company network to remain operating so we have to stay on-site to make sure the cooling systems are still running. Also if a pipe bursts or the roof leaks or something we are able to respond to that emergency.
