We had an interesting thread on Saturday, the 28th of March about the whole of NY State being quarantined. That would trap Upstaters in NY while NYC spews it's contents... Long story short NY State will probably be the "hottest" area of the US, during this crisis, which may in fact be the Apocalypse itself.
So my thinking was we create a survival network, via e-mail, and pull together. For survival, for making plans to deal with this impending hell with common strength, for mutual aid. For this reason I decided to try a Upstate NY general thread, to see what we can see. Status: making good progress.
Congrats to the user who started the first thread on Sunday (even though it only got 3 posts and was archived).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
This is not about democrat-republican political buttfuckery, or even revolution. I'm pretty sure the virus will probably kill most people, playing politics is laughable, and a revolution is UNNECESSARY, (I estimate that there's a 60% probability that in 6 months there will not be such a thing as the United States anymore - unless you count Fema units with unknown intentions). All this thread is about, is making it through this.
Threads No.2, and No.3B received heavy attacks from either governmental, or non-governmental shills.
Amongst the things they talked about were: illegal gun modifications, where to get ammo ilegally in NY, spewing retarded revolutionary babble (in the middle of a potentially Apocalyptic pandemic), tried to provoke people into making revolutionary/threatening statements asked people where they were, asking and calling into question what our objectives are 15 times (stated above), and trying to insult, provoke, and debunk OP, and other anons (in vain)

The situation is not that bad yet in Upstate, but it WILL get a lot worse.
If you haven't done so yet get as much food as possible. Not the fancy shit, but famine foods, wartime foods in bulk. (I would give you some pointers but I don't want everyone swarming the same food sources, bulk rice and beans are already GONE - I could give you pointers via e-mail, but than I have to account for infiltrators - so if you had a name on here and reputation that would be easier)
Yes, Upstate NY can grow a lot of food, but only when there's no chaos and violence. That is what is coming. Don't listen to the (((people))) trying to kill you, those who are telling you it's going to be all-right, they have lied to you so far, and they will continue to lie to you. It's not going to be all-right. Weather you have to hide, or weather you have to relocate, or even be on watch 24/7 and defend yourself, you're not going to be growing food. Get it while the situation is not too bad, or starve, or get infected trying to get it later.
If you live in an area where you don't have a well or rain catchment get containers for water and bleach to purify water.
Get a solid 4 season tent. (without a winter-capable shelter you're fucked) Get a shovel, ax, and saw - vital tools if you have to move out to the sticks. A collapsible stove to heat your tent would also be adviseable - winter's a bitch around here.

They can block the roads. Certainly the major ones. And as for side roads.. if you know about them at all...take your chances. There are relatively few roads that you can travel any considerable distance on, 50-100 at most. Smaller roads can be droned, and roving checkpointed.
They can shut down movement between towns.

Yeah the one good thing about NY is most of the military presence is down south locking down NYC. It will be worse in other states (with significant populations - not talking about Montana here) where enforcement power is more distributed, once this thing gets going in earnest.
But once NYC "breaks open" you can expect not only 2 million or so people from NYC, but people being driven in front of them, not just blacks from Albany, and Schenectady, but dispossessed whites too, both urban and rural.
Meanwhile. I do think the neighboring states can, and will lock us in.

The Finger Lakes is a good spot. If it gets bad I'm going for the castles of the Cornell campus. It's the best spot to rally. Lake water. Central location. The annoying local hippies are useful and cohesive if their TDS can be remedied. In a crisis they will drop it. A lot of professors will still be there. The rednecks are incredibly dangerous but have Cornell ties and will work together. As long as there is alcohol. Its the best fortress option we have. Connecting tunnels. Stone houses and buildings. Tunnels. Power generation. Milling. 3D printing. Meet me there. It needs a team effort to hold it. I figure its better than waiting to be raided in the sticks alone. Nogs will get wrecked messing with upstate redneck and will be freaked out byt the time/if they make it that far. Ultimately, if it gets bad, go for the Cornell campus. It'll take numbers to hold Hogwarts. It'll probably be fun. Plus we can fire up the syncrotron.

Suffolk County here. Have cousins in NYPD who handle logistics/counter-terrorism. (Watch all the security and TV screens basically). Situation will deteriorate at exponential pace. Also Suffolk Cops today on high alert (20-25) cruisers straight to SBU. Buy a PDW NOW if you havent. No presence of National Guard out here.
In a full blown "shtf nigger hoards pillaging your picket fence white neighborhood" type of scenario all you'd be able to do to improve your odds at surviving is minimize; interaction with people, and exposure to open terrain. There's a whole lot of woods survival spoons are gonna need to cover, and by the time they decide to venture in the woods for food population numbers would have already decimated. The way I see it that's a much more preferable outcome than being in highly populated place with thousands of desperate people surrounding you. Become self sufficient and you could slowly make ground deeper in the woods while city cunts are still far away from you.
I do not envy the cops in and around NYC. What will happen if the shit gets really bad is they'll grab their families and scoot. And the troops will go home too.. That is how NYC will eventually burst open..
