I agree, being a student I find that teachers who get paid more (AP & higher level classes) tend to care more about student performance. A low level teacher teaching the same class/subject gives little guidance to pass the class or teach. Teachers should be energetic just like raising kids

We have idiot teachers here. I know them, went to school or uni with them and are related to a few. Most had masses of outside help to just scrap through their degree.

my child's old school was over run with cat ladies and one token basedboy teacher. they basically did nothing, the school was totally disorganized and chaotic.
the new school is run by and old farmers wife all the teachers are older. the kids have excelled in this environment, they do way more school work but they are happy and actually want to be there and learn. my oldest still has friends from his old school and there is a noticeable difference in maturity level
