Heres another good one. Its a broad view of the circumstances both economists grew up in and how their interactions and writtings influenced macro economics in the west. It tries not to take sides but its subtly in favor of hayek

Haidt's a cuck but it is a redpill for openminded normalfag libs who think their 'morality' is the only possible truth.

I don’t agree with everything Johnathan Haidt says, but I really like the guy. He is genuinely a sensible and well intentioned man. I have that book as well.

Reading? Lol gaaaay

Hes def too human rightsy and liberal, but it doesnt really influence how he wrote the book. He mentions multiple times how he was a helpless partisan who constantly got things wrong until he studied moral psychology. I think the best purpose of the book is destroying the idea that rational thinking/debate/evidence is somehow better than implicit thinking. One of the important analogies that i have explained to many people and they understand right away was the rider and the elephant.

Haidt is a kike who fired a woman for calling out chink treachery, I hope he rots in hell with the rest of the heterodox academy kikes

The Righteous Mind was a nice try but it fails because Haidt (unintentionally) cherry-picks his instances.
For example, he says that the Left is more open to new experiences. He doesn't notice that the Left would never attend a Country/Western concert, a gun show, a rabbit hunt, a NASCAR race, or a monster truck show.
And he says that "disgust" is more sensitive among the Right. He doesn't notice that the Left is disgusted by tobacco (but not pot), GMO, and nuclear energy.

Isn't a 3rd edition in the works? And I agree, Culture of Critique is an absolute must-read for every white man.

I hope so. Reading Culture of Critique is what changed me from a memer to actual interest in power and economy.

>About the loss of Western art to a false art philosophy, nihilism, industrialization, and a corrupt art establishment. Art, tasteful æsthetics, high culture, & standards have all but vanished from the modern world. An ancient tradition has been carelessly discarded and is close to being lost forever. Why is this? Why were beauty values important to our ancestors? What was their philosophy of art, and what is ours? Can we bring back real art?
Damn, that sounds pretty fucking important. The triumph of ugliness and degeneracy. I guess he doesn't name the Jew in this, but still.

this is the only book I can think of that actually influenced me politically

I read this and it’s enabled me to argue against people who don’t know what art is. I would also recommend it

The Communist Manifesto
Das Kapital
State and Revolution
Property and Capital
The original content of the communist program
Origin and Function of the Party Form

Im not an art guy but im a sucker for decline and mourning loss. Ill check it out user

It has Anglo-Saxon script side by side. I don't even think it's possible to buy a copy without translation.

and more recently: pic related

Reading this, I became utterly shocked how much anti-German/anti-Central Power bias in scholarship influenced the thinking on WWI to this very day.

And the leftist anti-Germans in Germany realized this as well, that's why they wrote several absolutely seething essays, opinion pieces and even one entire book trying to discredit the Sleepwalkers, because you can't have a pro-German or even neutral study of German history.

This book is a metaphysical redpill and is much easier to read than 'The Reign of Quantity and the Signs of the Times' and 'Revolt Against the Modern World'. There's something about the author's erudite, passionate, urgent, yet simplistic tone that makes the book hard to put down. Zoomers may not appreciate the book fully since he references a lot of events in the 80's and 90's.

something i read when i was younger that was very interesting to me and gave me a perspective about just how much less domestic terrorism we have today. its called "days of rage" and its about reports of hijackings, bombings, assassinations etc by domestic terrorist groups in america during the 70's and 80's

i like this cover because it translates the name of the book instead of leaving it the german "mein kampf" to appear scary and foreign.

>even seeing another language is scary to Americans
Is that true?

Read this

>He doesn't notice that the Left would never attend
They associate these activities with low-class poor people, usually conservatives.
>He doesn't notice that the Left is disgusted by tobacco (but not pot), GMO, and nuclear energy.
They're not disgusted by those things. They usually don't give a fuck or are just parroting whatever their most recent professor said. Haidt is referring to genuine visceral gross-out like seeing a pile of maggots or watching gay men kiss. Libertarians also lack it.
