If trumps can hinder H1-Bs then Texas can recover. As it stands right now, 30% of Hispanics in Texas are full-out conservatives. 15% of them are native Tejanos (who mostly live in outside of metrospolitan areas or West San Antonio) and the other 15% are properly integrated Hispanic like Rafael Cruz. This is better than most areas in the US where its 9-to-1 rather than 7-to-3 on Hispanic voting.

If Trump can keep the pipeline cut off while also upping the removals of illegals, and stop the excess legal immigration we might be able to completely reverse the trend with integration and make it to where Austin is the only blueberry in the cherry pie again.

However Corona is artificially murdering illegal and legal immigration right now as well as making a lot of Illegals go back to Mexico due to no work. So given the current circumstances, how the Corona is killing globalization, and the potential for Trump to win 2020, I'm hopeful for Texas' future.

Texas isn't overrun at all. Only the border counties and metros are. Texas in terms of who controls territory is nearly as white as Maine.
