When I was a kid I grew up in a mostly white area. Very few run-ins with blacks. However, very young I noticed their tendency to be violent. I got my ass kicked a lot for being a runt who was all jazzed up on ADHD meds (so appeared practically autistic). I got my ass kicked by maybe 4-5 white kids growing up, and 3-4 black kids. Difference was, I met hundreds of white kids, and about 8-9 black kids.

So I was racist. Then I joined the Army, met the first black person I actually respected, and swallowed the blue pill.

Fast forward to last year or so, working in section 8 as a maintenance worker. Realize very quickly that blacks, who are 13% of the US population, maybe 50% of the section 8 population, are also 90% of the crime problem in section 8. Get my life threatened twice in ten months at this job, which I'm not allowed to concealed carry at.
