Which is the bigger happening?

The food chimp out will start before the economic one. The economic one will probably be an easy transition to local production starting up and India taking over the role of China (we'll never learn to rely fully on ourselves).

I lived through 9/11 in NYC. I worked literally on Wall St at the time. This is way worse and retarded. After 9/11. restaurants and bars were empty for a long time. And they had these bomb threats everywhere. NYC was shut down for a week. This is a few weeks already. Way stupider and worse.

Every time America sends its jobs to india the company is sent running back fuming mad.

You can't just go by death toll. By that logic literally every disease which killed more than a few thousand people (e.g SARS, MERS, seasonal flu) is a bigger happening than 9/11. The Spanish Flu might've killed more than World War 1 yet it had about 0.01% the cultural and geopolitical impact.

Millions of people die from various causes every year.

Coronavirus hands down. 911 was epic and truly terrifying. But this slow burn happening with corona, the economic and social changes that have come along with it are very bleak. At least 911 brought the US and the west together for a brief time.

Its the same happening, its the same people, it never ended, you just don't understand what is going on.

There is no spoon

70ad, destruction of Jerusalem and the old covenant/temple was pretty traumatic too

>all projections have covid at a minimum 50x more deaths in America than 9/11 and possibly 1000x more deaths

So does the season flu.
