Walmart workers test positive; store acts like nothing happened. (Whistleblower)

To anons in the Tupelo, Mississippi area - AVOID WALMART.

A friend of mine works at Walmart in Tupelo. Today, management told them that two of their coworkers just tested positive for Corona. Management would not tell the names of employees who tested positive, what their general schedules were, or even the section of the store they worked in. The people who work there have no way to even guess their threat level for potential exposure. This information is a luxury reserved for management, apparently.

As I write this, they are not closing the store to do a deep clean, are not getting the other employees tested or helping them get tested, or appear to be doing anything special. They just expect all of the good little wage slaves to continue clocking in as though nothing has happened. I believe this is a danger not only to the employees but potentially to customers if some workers are infected and contagious, but don’t know it because they’re asymptomatic.

If anybody has any advice for my friend, I’ll happily pass it along. Should they go to the mayor of Tupelo? The health department? The local news station?

Doing an undercover documentary and if anyone is left to watch it after the pandemic you'll be golden

That is a nice idea, but their concern is getting something done ASAP.

Go go the news I'd your best bet by far. I don't even care but it sounds amusing.

After this shit, fuck Walmart in general.
They’re the ones that make it seem like there ain’t shit when in reality they’re just not restocking throughout the day “for the safety of the employees.” FUCK that! Nigga that’s your job. All other stores have been fine where I am

lol, none of those poor people will shop elsewhere, your naivety is showing.

If you're stuck in an "essential" job they aren't going to shut down anything. I guess walmart isn't exactly truly essential but they're acting like what true essential jobs would do. They will just cite random bs that the supply chain cannot be interrupted for any reason.

still looking like a nothingburger

Plus I get nothing but shitskins every time I go. Both working and shopping.

That's okay because in the supermarket I work at. People tested positive for Covid-19 2 weeks. Have tested negative after 3 days of no symptoms and are back at work already.

get in your breadlines peasants.

My friend works at amazon and the same shit is happening. 20+ people handling packages. Inside and out. He is scared shitless to even deliver them.

Wash the outside AND INSIDE of whatever you order online. I use a spray bottle with high proof rubbing alcohol in it. Higher % the better.

No shit, I’m in ny and it’s been at our Walmart’s and Lowe’s. They close early and clean the place out. Literally no big deal

All of you need to walk out, you can collect unemployment for safety reasons. All three of those.

>The people who work there have no way to even guess their threat level for potential exposure.
cant they figure out who is not showing up to work anymore?

This is how you ensure your local Walmart has TP available for your next shopping trip.

Guys if you have older loved ones tell them not to go to those special senior hour shopping. The stores are literally trying to entice vulnerable people to come buy their products while selling the false safety that if they come during a specific hour they will somehow be safe. Its a terrible policy and it's only exposing the elderly to the virus. Either get groceries for your loved ones or have them delivered.

This doesn't surprise me at all

That’s the current plan, apparently. They all JUST found out and nobody my friend talks to is friends with anybody there who said they were sick. But with all the irregular hours everybody works it’s going to be hard noticing early on. It would like be one of those, “Hey, I haven’t seen Bill for a week. Where’s Bill?” kind of things.

I was at the Walmart in Rocky Mount VA yesterday and this woman who works there was not just coughing, but HACKING like crazy while touching all the food. I went to customer service to tell them they shouldn't have her working and nobody cares. They said "oh she just has bronchitis lol" so I said "if she has bronchitis WHY DO YOU HAVE HER WORKING?" because even that is contagious.

Besides, it was definitely coronavirus, not bronchitis.

Wait... you tell us Walmart doesn't care... then tell us they want to do something about it ASAP?

Make up your mind.

My friend who works there is worried. Management is not worried at all.

My friend works at a hospital at nights in the pharmacy. At first there were 2 corona patients. Now there are A lot. She called and told me she’s worried bc there are a lot more patients now . I could tell in her voice the panic . Get ready nazi soldiers

Why y'all worried about the sniffles? I was sick once and I got better. Haven't been sick since and that was in the 80s

I also work for Walmart and can confirm that they are taking advantage of the crisis and lining thier pockets. We have 2 confirmed cases and one of them was a manager who didn't tell anyone because they didn't want the store to close down. They are firing people for calling out sick.

Long story short nobody there cared. I'm not going to risk another trip to Walmart.

I was standing in the milk aisle when I suddenly found myself surrounded by fat retards on power scooters. 7+ of them, they weren't together but coincidentally just came roving around every corner within a minute.

They take up a lot of room and wouldn't get out of my fucking way. I felt like they were virus pods about to burst open like The Flood from Halo.

I tried to gtfo out of there asap but fat fuckers on power scooters just kept pouring out from around corners delaying my escape.

Shouldve pissed on em

>Should they go to the mayor of Tupelo? The health department? The local news station?
If you have hard evidence, you should spread this EVERYWHERE. This is highly unethical no matter how you slice it, and if they retaliate by firing your friend, he should sue them.

>has bronchitis WHY DO YOU HAVE HER WORKING?"

Jewish greed. It's been like that since day one of this pandemic. Mass layoffs without notice or severance. Deny the remaining employees paid sick leave until Congress forces you to give them paid sick leave. Use veiled threats and write-ups for "other reasons" to prevent them from exercising their rights. Send mass eviction notices to the people you (as Jews) just laid off. Government forces you to stop evicting people in some areas. Threaten to cut off their cable, Internet, and trash service instead.

These people need to be dragged from their corporate offices and killed.

You don't get unemployment for quitting. That's not how it works at all.

You can collect unemployment for quitting under a good cause

Oxford here, brother. Thanks for the tip. Just finished stocking up for the month. I was at the Tupelo Walmart a few weeks ago. Yikes

>Management would not tell the names of employees who tested positive, what their general schedules were, or even the section of the store they worked in
it's technically illegal for them to disclose private medical information
that being said you should 100% quit any job where you might get infected
(sorry healthcare workers. we're grateful, but you signed up for that shit)

they all have it if its been a few days and you probably have it to.

>any advice for my friend?
Use whatever employee access you have to screencap any internal interactions or references to the positive tests.

Use a voice activated recording app to discuss the positive tests with any management level employees

Bring all evidence to a class action lawyer in the nearest major city
Wal Mart will be liable for any Covid-related infection costs & compensation if there are deaths in the area.

They will likely settle out of court as soon as possible to avoid media attention reaching other markets

>looking at millions user

Quitting a job declared essential to get a 600$ bonus to unemployment does not seem like it would fly. I've done unemployment four times. They are anal about everything. Unless you actually GET corona, they wont give you jack shit.

Its NE Mississippi. That's almost not even the South.

shouldnt be to hard to figure out who done got sick.
2 people wont be in for a while. you're "friend" lol and other employess should be able to narrow it down to whoms it is.

then you lynch them. Its a past time down there

Wrong. Approved in 12 hours after applying.

in minecraft

Film everything if you can, I have friends in a similar situation at mcdonalds.

not going to a fucking walmart until this thing is over - it's THE hotspot probably with so many people going in

State health regulators, state labor department, federal OSHA, etc. Notify all of them and provide as much evidence as you can.

>a couple of minimum wage workers catch the sniffles
>communists use it as excuse to shut down the economy

Big, if true.

Spotted a retard. Employers can't just give out medical information about employees. That is a HIPAA violation.

> Approved in 12 hours after applying.
Considering you have to see a judge to get approved, I would say you have never even done the fucking process.

>grocery stores will be forced to close for a day, week, or two weeks

This is the happening Yas Forums wants

Leave and protest outside of the Walmart (with posters). Protect customers by informing them of this.

If you're laid off because your store burned down you'll get unemployment

>Apply for UI
>Need judge approval
>courts are closed due to outbreak
???
Then how are laid off people supposed to get their gibs? Also, what fucking state are you in where you need a court approval to get unemployment benefits?

lamo'ing at all these Walmart "essential" workers getting coofed on and sick when the government is literally paying you more to sit on your ass at home collecting unemployment

Call the police.

In Pennsylvania there was a woman who deliberately coughed on food and got hit with 2 misdemeanors and 2 felonies.

No shit sherlock
Grocery stores are not going to close because people need their fucking food.
You are essential in the same way that a town guard is essential to defense. You die so that the town as a whole doesnt.

Video calls.
California.

Both parties must be present.

>be walmart wagie
>die in the backrooms from rona
>other wagies pick you up, toss you in a box and ship you out to your family
>new wagie is given your old vest
>rinse and repeat

Are they even able to do that with courts being closed due to AIDS

>it's technically illegal for them to disclose private medical information

HIPAA only applies healthcare workers and health insurance workers.

It is only about insurance.

>durr whats walmart employees threat level
they are all doomed to die.

also Ive personally witnessed walmart workers coughing in their hands at the register and spitting on customers while talking to them while on the floor

wear long sleeves and knock these retards out in the name of self defense when they do this shit to you

call local media. they would love this story.

you should expect this to have happened in every big chain grocery store by now. a deep clean is not really necessary because grocery stores are spacious and employees rarely have a reason to leave their department. just stand as far away from the employees as you can when you're shopping, grab what you have on your list and get out asap.

>walmart drone gets sick
Who cares. Corona is probably the least worrying thing they're infected with.

This but its simple to get qualified. Fall asleep in a bathroom stall, call your bosses cunts, take a whole shift to do the simplest of tasks, keep playing games on your cell phone.
The list goes on, as long as you arent directly insubordinate then you're qualified. Its just that most people dont have the balls to act like that.

If Walmart aint covering their insurance, there is no way remotely it is a HIPAA violation.

They do social distancing I'm sure. You never really get near the judge.
This. It's not hard to get fired. Just get fired. makes everything easy.

Oh no. They will get the flu and recover in 2 weeks. Big deal.
