We had an interesting thread on Saturday, the 28th of March about the whole of NY State being quarantined. That would trap Upstaters in NY (probably already trapped) while NYC would spew it's contents... Long story short NY State will probably be the "hottest" area of the US, during this crisis, which may in fact be the Apocalypse itself.
Also (before we start getting hate) we in Upstate are not the same as the denizens of NYC, In fact the population of UNY is amongst the most "normal" people in all of the US. (most of us are not libero fags and there's nothing "weird" about us - no weird accents, no funny hats etc.)
So my thinking was we create a survival network, via e-mail, and pull together. (If that is even possible at all) For this reason I decided to try a UNY general thread, to see what we can see.
Some (((some))) say it's a bad idea - and it may well be - but than why? I'm willing to discuss the cons and difficulties too.
Congrats to the user who started the first thread on Sunday (even though it only got 3 posts and was archived).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
This is not about democrat-republican political buttfuckery, or even revolution - I'm pretty sure the virus will probably kill most people, playing politics is laughable, and a revolution is UNNECESSARY, (I estimate that there's a 60% probability that in 6 months there will not be such a thing as the United States anymore - unless you count Fema units with unknown intentions). Thread number 2 (on Sunday the 29th of March) received heavy attacks from either governmental, or non-governmental shills.
Amongst the things they talked about were: illegal gun modifications, where to get ammo ilegally in NY, spewing retarded revolutionary babble (in the middle of a potentially apocalyptic pandemic), tried to provoke people into making revolutionary/threatening statements asked people where they were from, asking and calling into question what our objectives are 15 times (stated above), and trying to insult, provoke, and debunk OP, and other anons (in vain)

The situation is not that bad yet in Upstate, but it WILL get a lot worse.
If you haven't done so yet get as much food as possible. Not the fancy shit, but famine foods, wartime foods in bulk. (I would give you some pointers but I don't want everyone swarming the same food sources, bulk rice and beans are already GONE - I could give you pointers via e-mail, but than I have to account for infiltrators - so if you had a name on here and reputation that would be easier)
If you live in an area where you don't have a well or rain catchment get containers for water and bleach to purify water.
Get a solid 4 season tent. Get a shovel, ax, and saw - vital tools if you have to move out to the sticks. A collapsible stove to heat your tent would also be advisable winter's a bitch around here.
