How do 2 functioning married adults have 0 savings for emergencies while on 2 incomes?
What the hell do these people spend their money on?
Even if both were minimum wage workers, which I doubt they are, they would be taking home about $1500/week as a married couple, or $6000/month, and their rent would be no more than $2000 at the most, infact it’s more like $1500 of less. Now those figures would be them on minimum wage, which again, I doubt they are, so where the fuck is the other $4000-4500+ minimum per month they have after rent is paid going?
They probably eat out every night or order Uber eats everyday.
Jonathan Cooper
>What the hell do these people spend their money on? They're raised to believe that things create happiness. As a consequence of social media, their self esteem no longer comes from introspection and accomplishments, it is now hardwired to the accumulation of tangibles.
Alexander Wood
Liquor, tobacco, coffee, other drugs Eating out, expensive hipster groceries Videogames and movies, video streaming services, tv and internet Jews are good at taking money from fools
Ryder Peterson
Restaurants, new shiny tech every 6 months and paying minimum on debt.

From one Australian to another, these people are so content with having insane debt and living paycheck to paycheck. Loans are so easy to acquire as well, and most people are happy living like a fucking animal; with no impulse control at all.
I became a home owner in my mid 20's and all my friends are in their late 20's still living with parents an somehow are just scraping by.
We live in a fucking insane system where the young guy with a 50K used benz is considered more successful than the young guy with 50K equity in a house he owns.
Jeremiah Lee
>even Australians think they can save money $40 a week for coffee
Lincoln Rogers
I take home $300 a week, the rest goes into investments/savings. How these schlubs can't make it on whatever they make disgusts me.
We all lived on a lot less than we make now, why is it so hard for some people to get by with more?
Matthew Morris
My fiancee is kinda like this. She and I are almost one to one on everything except money. We clash hard on what to buy and what not to buy, she says she doesn't care if we have a house when we get to the point of having kids, that its ok to live in an apartment because "no matter what its not going to be easy, my mom raised us in apartments", she also is completely content with living paycheck to paycheck and doing the absolute minimal amount of work to survive.
While I want to own a house, I'm 23 with 4k in savings, and am willing to work my ass off to get there. I always tell her "Yes but having a stable foundation would make it way fucking easier."
Then she just gets mad and pouts, saying how it doesn't matter. Its madness and an ideology I just can't wrap my brain around. People want to spend money constantly because it brings them temporary happiness. But in the long run it just makes shit worse. I just want to be free of renting apartments and have some yard space to grow food ffs.
uhh with minimum wage here you make under 300 a week, dude. combined that's 600 for two people, 1200 a month combined, before taxes. I don't make minimum wage but your estimates are retarded
Ryder Kelly
correction: $1200 each per month, $2400 combined
Aaron Wright
Min wage is $740/week here
Charles Price
Rent, auto, utilities and phones, food, internet, student loan payments, credit card bills, medical expenses (if you have kids at a hospital it’s costly), other potential dues.
Obviously one can clean this up. Payoff cars and loans and credit card debt and medical expenses. But it might take years. You could eat cheap shitty food and get cheaper internet. But what’s the point if it makes you more depressed for a couple hundred extra in savings? You save whatever is left but there isn’t much. If one or the other loses their job the savings is depleted in no time. A couple that takes home $6k/month after taxes and insurance and what not is only going to have enough to make a savings on paper and not in reality no matter how NEETs try to justify it with their autism on paper stats
Angel Gomez
If you make $1,500 a week then you earn $37.50 an hour friend. That's no where close to minimum wage

cosmetics it is easy for neets to live out of minimum wage but when you have girl you suddenly have to spend shitload on things you wouldnt ever belive are needed anyone for anything

>Rent Buy a house >auto Buy a $5000 car maximum >utilities Turn off the lights turn down the heat >phones Use the old phone until it literally breaks >food Eat at home you fat fucks >internet Look at your usage, downgrade as necessary >credit card bills Don't buy shit you can't afford to pay off in less than 6 months.

>How do 2 functioning married adults have 0 savings for emergencies while on 2 incomes? Because media, Hollywood, universities, banks and politicians brainwashed them, that they can live lifestyle of constant entertainment, that living on debt isn't bad because "consumption" makes money "work" and keeps the economy "going".
Those are sad victims of propaganda.

Women often just don’t think about this stuff, I’m beginning to wonder if it’s genetic and not just a product of being coddled. My gf has a mediocre administrative job and significant education debt but finds nothing wrong with blowing money on fancy food and keeps wanting to travel even though she just got out of credit card debt. You just have to take the lead as a man and correct her behavior. Teaching a generation of men that women were our equals was a mistake.
Christopher Barnes
Do not marry that retard.
Nathan Evans
How is that an excuse though?
>teehee if you had a woman you wouldnt have savings either, incel
So to have a girlfriend it means you must spend 100% of your money and never save?
I notice girls spend all their money, and then the guy who is trying to save money, ends up cracking and going along with her spending habits, as he doesn’t see the point in saving if his girlfriend isn’t, so it creates this double fuck up where no savings exist because the man has the woman leading and making all the financial decisions
>What the hell do these people spend their money on? MUH VACATIONS!!!!!! hey whats more fun, putting $2 grand in the bank and doing nothing, or blowing that on a week vacation. too bad you cant buy food with memories.
my sister/brother in-laws went to jamaica about a month ago now he's out of a job, hes not a US citizen hes a canadian living in the US and working in canadurr so he's not eligible for unemployment in either country and on top of that he cant go back across the border until it reopens to get shit from his family. WOMP WOMP. meanwhile the wife and i do nothing but save because we dont want to be cought with our pants down in case of an emergency (like this). we even bought a fucking house and paid for the closing costs out of pocket, so nothing was rolled into the loan. take that shit non-saving cunts. hope the memory of sitting on the beach tastes great when you want to feed your fucking kids something.
Landon Diaz
Minimum wage is not $750 / week take home, nor even gross. Not even close. You are out of touch.
Matthew Perez
Run
James Scott
dump this whore now dude. get a ssecret savings account and put all your money in there where she cant see or touch it. RUN, you have been warned. if youre not eye to eye on finances youre fucking done for out the gate

>most americans make around 13 dollars an hour, that's only good for $1400 a month >electric is 80 per month >water is 15 per month, cuz 45 every quarter >fuel is 120 a month >health insurance is 160 a month, 800 if you have a child >daycare is $200-$400 a week >food is 60 per week >comcast cable bill with internet and phone is 150 per month medicine for the kid that needs to go to the doctor every week, clothes for the kid that destroys clothes, new toys, god forbid you get in a car accident. >you forgot the auto insurance speaking of which the soveriegn citizen law enforcement terrorist niggers will seize your vehicle on behalf of the criminal bar syndicate, defrauding you out of your right to free unmolested non commericial travel and the roads your taxes built even though your minivan is not a hot dog truck and violating constitutional law is a de facto felony.
yeah. we need more guns. >pic related MORE GUNS

Most Americans live paycheck to paycheck. It's because they need to have the newest car and the best electronic devices. A $10k used Honda or Toyota is reliable, but doesn't look cool. They would rather drive a leased Audi, Lexus, or BMW. Don't bail them out!
Blake Martinez
That's why the government just extorts men for women gibs.
Jack Davis
leave while you still can
Evan Nelson
there's no room left for rent or 'saving for retirement'. when accidents happen they eat up any petty cash you had left.
Alexander Perry
I just got married in December. We are both 22yo. We also just moved and we still have around 8 grand in savings. We dont even have that high of a collective income about 65k a year (40k coming from me). Theres no excuse they are just frivolous with their money
Cameron Johnson
You are assuming they are both full time. Many people are underemoyed which skews the unemployment rate in this country. They could be doing something like 20 hours at $10 per hour before taxes each. That would be a take home of around 1350 a month.
Nicholas Nguyen
It is here, the twitter is Australians complaints about landlords. It’s not American, look at my flag ffs
Wyatt Hall
EJECT. EJECT.
Brandon Murphy
equivalent to minimum wage, and honestly trying to get the spouse to work just doubles your daycare costs. the cheapest daycar in my county charges 120 per day, and when you both work full time to try to survive that eat the whole check right there.
Justin Perez
how many of us are saying RUN dude hahahah you know deep down you should too, take our advice 5/6 replies saying leave user.
Tyler Morales
Youre wrongly assuming they’re American
This is from an Australian article about being landlords here wanting rent paid
Bentley Butler
also blue cross blue shield is 800 per month per head. most people can't afford that, then when they need their insurance that was $40 a month their prescription is $100. well now you have to wait a week to buy tires for the car. it never ends, you stay on the bottom.
Benjamin Jenkins
You forgot to factor in all of the shit that the jews and globohomo corporations use to siphon money from suckers. Eating out constantly, needing to have the latest and greatest, vices (smoking, alcohol), and frivolous spending such as expensive vacations to third world hellholes. It's easy as hell to not have any savings because most people are complete financial retards.
Isaac Campbell
>kek imagine thinking two minimum wage workers could not only survive in America or anywhere but actually put away some savings
Jaxson Wright
we always do that, you know this.
Colton Hill
Oh god not this travelling shit again ...
whenever she mentioms travelling again slap the bitch really hard so she falls down on the floor like a sack of potatoes (bonus points if she does the extra bounce off the floor) and scream into her ear really loudly that the furthest she will travel this year is to the kitchen and go fucking make me a sammich!
Nicholas Rodriguez
Again, this is in Australia. They don’t have to pay for any private healthcare.
Stop being 50 IQ Americans please, when you see my flag you can assume the people in the article are from that place please thank you

Functioning????
Isaac Watson
>mfw having tons of credit card debt is seen as normal for normie americans
look offer her this advice, what bring more happiness? spending money now or having security in the event of an emergency? im sitting on a fuck ton of money all because i save, the wife saves, we spend very little on ourselves. we have a kid and we dont even spend money on the kid aside from a $1-2 toy occasionally in a store. spending time with the kid and playing with her is invaluable. having your kid love you and not some fucking bullshit like toy/phone/etc is priceless. theres intangible things in life that are far better than momentary gratification.
This, or buying a bunch of shit like Funko Pops that they don't need.

>why dont they make their own Yas Forums with their own 1st amendment oh wait you cant, if the site wasn't subject to US law none of you would be able to use it. LOLLLLLLLLL >when youre a tard but still based you love it
Jeremiah Russell
This. To enslave a people, you do not want them to have surplus time or resources. You need to have them spend all discretionary income over and above their bare subsistence. Otherwise they would be able to accumulate capital, increase productivity, have free time and freedom, and be able to chart their own destiny.
Nicholas Ward
From a married man of 11 years, do not marry this woman. My wife is cheaper than I am and I'm a CPA. You need a woman with a tight purse because there are only 2 settings on the woman dial, absolute jew or thot who has $120K in student loan debt and eats out every night.
My is the crux of every relationship, above all else. If you cannot agree about money you will agree about nothing.
Isaiah Roberts
Working woman- we must buy the house with the rock countertops, his and her walk in closets, a family room and great room and I need hundreds of pairs of shoes for my 45k a year job, ok honey, oh and a "good school" district with high property taxes. Guy- ok. Years later he is mowing his postage stamp yard, hiring Mexican day laborers to clean his gutters because he doesn't own a tall enough ladder on for his upside down brick monstrosity, all the kids have cell phones, he's commuting 45 miles one way, him n happy wifey haven't had sex in years, he can't even afford a good sturdy rope to hang himself, so he resolves to hang in there until the youngest is at least a teenager and then he will make his great escape.
Nicholas Brooks
Find another gf.
Cooper Perez
nigger you have a credit card for emergencies. unless youre a fucking nigger then you have no credit or youve maxxed out the card like a nigger. i have a cc i pay for everything with, pay it off every month and get 1-5% cash back, so im getting paid to use the card. you gotta be smart nigger and not be a nigger, nigger
Jackson Wilson
>How do 2 functioning married adults have 0 savings for emergencies while on 2 incomes? >functioning There's your mistake. They get by, but they are not functioning adults. They are mental children spending every spare cent on luxuries instead of using their higher thought processes to plan for the future.
David White
Keeping interest rates pegged at 0% and inflation at 2-3% does not reward savings in any form. The only rational thing to do is put it in the market.
