This is just a quick message to remind everyone to be vigilant when assessing information and to make sure that the information or guidance which you're intending to share is in line with the official scientific advice. See examples of high-danger-score misinformation below...
1) Misnaming COVID-19 as "the Chinese virus" or "Bat-Flu" 2) Claiming COVID-19 isn't real, i.e "Does anyone actually know anyone that has the virus?" 3) Posting or sharing out of context videos of suspected Chinese citizens eating a variety of foods which aren't immediately recognisable to a sterile western palate. 4) Sharing information about false miracle cures "Vitamin C!", "Zinc and Z-Pak!" 5) Perpetuating the false narrative that minorities will be responsible for the resurgence of the virus once the wider lockdown is lifted - it isn't always culturally possible for more vibrant communities to remain apart during a cautionary lockdown and to claim the opposite is fuelling hatred against the most vulnerable in our societies.
