This whole film is based.
It could wake a few people up, while most others will just see it as edgy comedy, the Jews see it for what it is though - a threat.
Anyone seen JoJo Rabbit? It was pretty good, albeit pro-Jew, but for a kids film it has serious red-pill potential.
It showed the fun, human side of National Socialism, especially for kids. Some of the Nazis were really brave good guys. The Gestapo were amusing. The last scene with the defence of the city against the Red Army is movingly heroic.
While an adult might get caught up in the love-story or in the wider implications, only hinted at, as to why the Jew girl was in the attic, a child would not. That's the strength of the film. A child will take something totally different from it. They will take the red-pills.

Tbf all the good stuff is the method actor really getting into Hitlers mindset and being quite charming. All the scripted stuff is some of the worst movie making in history, the scene with the dog, the main characters Jewish love interest and the final scene are absolute garbage.

Haven't read the book yet but I enjoyed the movie. The guy playing Hitler was fantastic and I like that not all of the conversations he has with random people are scripted.

At the end of The Hauptmann (the Captain) there's a scene during the end credits. They're driving a german ww2 era vehicle in, in uniform, through a modern day city. There's a few actors / extras in the area but a lot of regular non-paid ctizens. When they're drivng down the road there's a few authentic reactions from civilians seeing the soldiers. One of them heil salutes off-frame and the soldier (actors) in the vehicle respond in-character. It's subtle, but it's there. Reactions like this have been filmed as a result of quite a few movies/shows lately, where people get to interact with ww2-era individuals
