Is it worth investing bullets as a trading currency? Considering everyone is panicking out there. Im thinking of buying .223 55 grain or 5.56 62 grain right now.

can you even find any?
Plenty at my local store
you should already have ammo
far too late for that
Had 1k rds of 123gr 7.62x39 HP's delivered today.
Are you buying for use or for bartering?
If use and your gun is a 556, go with that. If you are looking to make money, do something else. Ammo production is spiking. In a few weeks your supply will be worth less than you paid
Just trade your Bussy to the Chad Gun hoarders
No.
Maybe when Russia invades and your mum gets shot in the face. Until then take a heckin' seat, Buck-o.
Buy some, if you want currency, gold and silver
i bought mine when people were buying super bowl squares #SPORTS
You'll be one of the first to be raided, idiot. Barter services that you need to be alive to render, not what they can take over your dead body.
Just what do you think is going to happen to society you fucking moron?
No. Tea candles are the best. This was evident during collapse in east europe. You can buy stacks of tea candles at ikea (4 hour candles, pack of 100 for 3€). Buy a few thousand candles, then just hold them. If society falls and electricity stops for a long term, you will be a god among your neighbors.
But even if not, they're kind of fun to have. I light one every night anyway.
You're a month late, and many syrup nigger bucks short.
Yes but look at how overpriced it is now.
based and candlepilled

My everyday bowl, with lots of scents.
Im thinking for trading. This ammo was less than $70 a couple of weeks ago. Now its skyrocketed.
lmao 60 cents a round for range ammo
If you plan on being a shut in prepper, yes. You can trade them for things like medicine, canned food, titty mags, and toilet paper.
Otherwise if you plan to spec into the raider proficiency its better to invest in your personal health, marksmanship, and running ability. Raiders should also stock up on backpacks, carts and camouflage. You can also brush up on your acting ability and become an ambush/deception raider.
you think people will want to trade candles for goods?
>right now
I tried to tell /k about 223 for 5.99 a box at Academy Sports like a month ago, I got hundreds of rounds.
nato ammo will be a rarity when SHTF. the average person will only have civilian ammo. making 5.56 as valuable as gold
is the store online?
Look, do what you want. but as someone who is a ammo hoarder, I can say the price will go down. You are almost guaranteed to lose money. And buying 1 box isnt gonna do shit. Hope you have something to shoot it with too. Because if SHTF you will just get robbed

My refill stash.
Behind the sink is a hidden opening gap in the wall, you can't really see it in the photo -- I keep the rest back there. Those are my emergency stash, to be used at money when+if society ever falls.
In the plastic sack is also many cheap cigarette lighters in a multipack, along with some other stuff I personally need if things go wrong.
Yes, it happened in recent history. It also makes a lot of sense, given people are used to light everyday so they don't have big windows in the apartments. You can boil (and thus sanitize) water, or make tea, coffee, or many types of foods.
I'll buy a t shirt cannon and make homemade molotov cocktails your pussy guns don't stand a chance
if people want light when the electricity goes out they will go back to the primitive ways of starting a fire instead lmao
Im about to light a candle now. Thanks Pierre
sadly not everyone can make a fire if their life depended on it. no lighters, just sticks. Not many could.
Small brain is investing in ammo.
Big brain is investing in reloading supplies.
you dont need candles to do any or necessities. i see candles as sort of a therapeutic way of keeping comfy during the collapse
>boil
I want to correct myself -- you can warm, but not boil water with one candle. But you can get it hot enough to make it useful and kill germs.
Boiling is possible, you just need to use a few candles, depending.
>primitive ways of starting a fire instead lmao
Which is literally candles.
People won't start campfires in their inner-city apartments. And they won't start fires using flint and tinder either, they'll just use lighters which are abundant and last years a piece if you're clever.
je vous en prie
thats why theres books on fire starting. its an instinct to start a fire in a survival situation anyways
Dude you need to buy 1000 rds at a time for okay prices. Are you nogunz or something?
Friction fire starting is hard as fuck and a good way to tire yourself out and fuck up your hands.
Carry pic related with you and suddenly you have infinite fire starting ability (weather permitting) and a compass to boot.
im late to the party
Small candles, a shitton of cheap lighters, loads of TP and tampons if you want a post apocalyptic gf is what you will need unless you live in a ghetto then the murican way of having 500 000 rounds of 5.56 is probably better
The problem with bullets as a currency is that they can easily be inflated by making more, or deflated by shooting them.
ive never seen this site. the last mini 14 in canada! THANKS user
You are correct though prices are up about 10-25% even bulk...i just havent bought in months since i still have about 2k 223/556, 3k 7.62x39, 5k 22lr but i'm almost out of 9mm range ammo..
Range is closed anyway so i guess i'll chill
You can buy an old-type oil lantern for $10. One fill will burn for three weeks.
You missed the boat.
i'll suck some cock for some decent 300 blackout. can only find shitty subsonics around here.
1500?? Were like 1350 max recently. Damn.
The great Obama ammo shortage people were selling bricks of .22lr at double or Triple the price the time to invest in this was about 3 months ago
subsonic is the whole point of 300 blk.
tfw 1200 rounds of 7.62 Nato
tfw 2000 rounds of 5.56 nato
tfw im waiting for the Puerto Ricans from Jew York City to come and try me
bullets are the worst currency..
fucking take 30 seconds to think about why
well they suck. supersonics > subsonics
Thank you. But in the context of currency, that's why I mention tea candles. They are super tradable and you can hold them as money.
I know the type of lamps you're talking about, I used to have one. They are great.
No they'll just use it to shoot you while your back is turned and loot you don't engage with anyone
I read an interesting article about the situation in the former Yugoslavia... when shit breaks down, bullets are indeed a valuable currency.
Also simple little Knick knacks like batteries, soap, candles... they set up a street where people swap stuff like this to get by... it takes a while for things to get this bad, but when the system breaks eventually people start getting desperate and ruthless... he said Guns and ammo were certainly things you would need even as an item to sell or trade they are very valuable.
it's the most popular caliber in the USA. why would it become rare? scarce, perhaps, but not as valuable as you think
That's not really that much.
Also op check out ammobin.ca
>you should already have ammo
This. Unless you are zoomer there is no excuse for not having a healthy supply of ammo (and firearms) since before this shit even started.
I think many people ITT are just nuzzling for a reason to kill people, waiting until a series of excuses is finally plausible enough to make them a hero and not a murderer.
its bad enough in canada where we cant even get restocking of firearms because the shit is fucked down south. you think the ammo factories will still be open when this chink virus is spreading?
Based and poorpilled
and isn't the point of it not being a pile of shit with a short pistol barrel like 556?
i've always been the hero of this movie, user.
It's nice to see a real nigga up here
