I have ramen because I like ramen. But I also have NY strip steak, skirt steak with fajita marinade, several lbs of ground beef, butter, eggs, milk, sugar, flour, cake batter, pancakes mix, jumbo lump crab eggs and old bay seasoning and tartar sauce, cheese cheese, raw chicken breasts, cooked chicken breasts, romaine lettuce hearts, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, Mac and cheese, fettuccini noodles, a bunch of cheese bricks, American cheese slices too, hot dogs, bread, and ice cream. And a variety of potato stuff. Actual potatoes and frozen potatoes and dried potato stuff. A lot of this stuff is in a chest freezer. For a family of four. We keep running out of milk and bread and eggs and lettuce. Actually none of this is prep, this is just what I bought recently

I've got like 50 lbs of rice sitting in my garage which I bought before I even knew Romance of the Three Coughdoms was a thing. Aside from that I've been habitually buying like five cans of chili, baked beans and fruit every time I go to the grocery store ever since I moved out from my parents' home ten years ago. I've got so much disk-sliced pineapple I could built a fort out of the cans.

Half of this shit is probably past its expiration date but holy fuck do I have a ton of it. Just running the numbers mentally as long as I have water I could probably survive without leaving the house for years. We've got well water, so really the problem is just electricity. I work from home, so as long as the bills are paid I'll be fine.
