At the height of it, I was very close to going to the ER. I ended up not doing it, because I setup a humidifer that really helped relax my lungs and make it easier to breath. I think that was the thing that helped me relax and sleep the most. I ran it in my room for about 4 days straight. After that I finally started feeling better.

The key is to figure out what helps you sleep. If you can't get rest, your body can't fight off the virus.

I think I had it the 2nd week of February after going to an event with people from Japan a week earlier. Had a 101 degree fever and cough for three days. No flu. Some stomach illness but nothing crazy. If that’s it, you guys are complete pussies. 38 year old white male, 6’2, 206 lbs, non-smoker.

Yes, I definitely did. This was before the quarantine. For the first few days I was coughing and I didn't realize the implications of what it meant. This was weeks ago when the ball was just getting rolling on this whole mess. There wasn't much information out there yet, so I was unaware of what I had. 50% or so of my place of employment ended up getting it as well.

Not sure if I gave it to them or one of them gave it to me. One older guy that sits near me got really sick about a week after me and was admitted to the hospital. He got a test and came back positive which is when I realized what I had.

I have been told by couple of people who have almost drowned from some shit/blood filling their lungs that they didn't even realise what was happening. That they had no idea their lungs were filling up, no sensation etc, just the trouble of staying awake/consious. So you don't always notice what is happening with non corona cases anyway

My nose was stuffed up for sure, but not running. It was also way worse in the morning. Once I cleared it out when I woke up it wasn't much of a problem.

Yes, I have felt much better for the last few weeks. This all took place the last week of Feb, first week of March. It took about 3 weeks total before I felt normal again.

It has been in the states for awhile now I would imagine. Silently spreading while everyone was unaware.

If you have trouble breathing already be careful and definitely stay home. I smoke about 5-10 cigarettes a day usually and I was struggling.

Pretty sure the same thing happened at our shop. We had an executive rushed back from china and a few mysterious pneumonia type cases roll through the shop within dec/jan. Im in SE MI which is currently a pretty big hotspot so chances are its been around longer than originally thought.

I am in Illinois. It has definitely been around a LOT longer than the media and government are letting on. I am guessing the first people started spreading it over here around late Dec/Early Jan.

A family friend has come down with regular Flu in the last week, 103 fever. He works at an air force base that has Coronavirus patients so they had the test kits. I'd imagine most of the early cases where assumed regular Influenza.

Similar story for me. Went to conference at Austin hotel on Feb. 21. Feb. 28 have intense headache with post-nasal drip...then fever with crackling in my lungs when I exhale. Taking Mucinex and Vit. C, fever breaks 3 days later but still have fluid in my lungs. Never had a cough likely due to Mucinex. Fluid in my lungs just kind of goes away after a while but still easily fatigued.
Point being: We need an antibody test so that people who have already had it can get back to work because it has been here for a while.

I have been working from home since I have been feeling better. My employer still doesn't want me or any of us that have had it to come in until there is some way to determine if we are contagious or not. They shut down the whole facility for a week and did a deep clean after my coworker tested positive.
