Why be on Houthi's side? I mean I get why you would be against saudi arabia but why specifically in Houthi's side?

botnetski farm still pushing this dead meme

if youre a loser in the society you inhabit you have no side and so you go around picking sides at random. Like leftis who protest for palestine. Its just more larpy bullshit by people that are neither needed nor wanted in society.

Houthis represent the only remaining unoccupied territory of the State of Yemen; I would rather ask, why would you not support the Houthis against the foreign invaders which seek to divide and enslave their country? Khaleejis aren't known for their altruism.

They always did.

Yemen doesn't have significant quantities of oil; MBS crashed his own price, just like MBS started the war in Yemen himself.

there is not much hidden meaning in the world

Khalifa Haftar is engaged in Operation Dignity, a military operation to remove Islamists and Muslim Brotherhood militia from Libya after Islamists started assassinating their enemies in the military. Using the Libyan National Army as the guarantor of a new Libya, Khalifa Haftar has successfully removed Benghazi and Derna from the Islamist grip, liberated Sirte from Islamist GNA control, and has now cleared the Tunisian side of GNA influence. The walls are closing in on the Islamist militias of Tripoli and Misurata - and as if to underline how Haftar was always correct, Turkey is intervening with expeditionary Islamist Syrians and using TAF special forces to guard GNA figures now. Haftar recognizes Assad as leader of Syria, and Assad recognizes Haftar as leader of Libya, and they have agreed to exchange prisoners as well.

Attached: file.png (1119x788, 1.72M)

Said simply by an FSA source

>Many pro-opposition Syrians whom I respect are missing the big picture on Libya.
>The axis of autocracy (Russia/Egypt/UAE/Assad/Haftar) have united to crush the last of the Arab Spring. If free people do not unite, we will ALL be defeated - in Syria, Libya, Tunisia, and beyond.
twitter.com/WarSurfing/status/1212841777935327238

Why do these niggers act like they are rapid islamists? Who the fuck beside mutts believe that?

UAE is uncommon within the GCC in understanding of the MBQ, though Qatar serves as a proximate example of what happens when ikhwanis are allowed to make government. The Arab Spring was merely a vehicle for placing those defeated ikhwanis into government.

Attached: file.png (1375x1032, 2.8M)

They aren't*

Attached: 16819461_10210131701182726_6263775190976084312_o.jpg (669x960, 127.27K)

They actually lean on the strengths of Islamism to create legitimacy and power for their government. They also used the same 'UN-recognized' pull Hadi does, as an attempt to emulate Assad's defeat of foreign powers in his country. Unfortunately for them, the strengths of Islamism also spell their defeat, for subservience to Turkey is visible and revolting enough for most Libyans to cause defections from GNA to LNA and leaks within Tripoli from those oppressed by the neighborhood gangs.

But Islamists see that as the natural order. They do this because they think uma democracia will give way to Sunni shuras, leading to flowery caliphal roles. I would say Turkey is merely displacing AQ and ISIS with itself as the overlord

Attached: file.png (1400x933, 1.37M)

Not every Arab or Muslim is so devoted to foreign Saudi, Iraqi and Turkish causes. It takes a strong foreign effort to propagandize people in that way. And increasingly more Arab countries like France are waking up to the Muslim Brotherhood Question. Confrontations by Greece increasing are also a sign of changing times. How long can the European Union avoid its responsibility for securing its continent while still playing games with NATO? Turkey may be NATO, but it is surely not EU

Attached: file.png (1024x1024, 1.59M)

>I would say Turkey is merely displacing AQ and ISIS with itself as the overlord
Very well put.

Indeed, GNA tries to pull the "UN-recognized"-card but even the UN doesn't give a fuck about them anymore as it's common knowledge that MB orchestrated a coup soon after GNA was formed. Retarded MB supporting subhumans memory hole the fact that GNA was supposed to be a joint effort between HoR, some parts of GNC and other activists. Muh demon-crazy doesn't mean shit when you elect genocidal parties to your government, so anyone who uses the democracy argument should be locked into a concentration camp build by democratically elected NSDAP.

The only non-islamist in GNA to my knowledge is Sarraj the Puppet, who receives regular beatings from random militia members lol

Thats why...

Well at this point we have to ask how relevant is NATO. Much like the UN , i feel like its losing its grip on its members. I know its a different kind of organisation but still , EU is more recent and more legitimate than NATO. Although I dont know if Brexit will pull the remaining members closer together or cause a chain reaction to shut it all down.

>shiiteskin and christchonz nonsense

Even the government model Serraj assumes throwsback to the first days of the Libyan revolutionary government; scattered armies and militias, de jure under one command but de facto representing a grand chaos with no master. Foreign governments training its personnel - but in a way to extract benefits from it instead of nuturing independence. Even the countries east of the connection between GNA waters and Turkey waters show a grand shadow of powers Turkey is seeking to undermine or overthrow. In its Libyan intervention, Turkey is showing its hand, with reverberations in every Islamist within that theatre, those to the east, but also those to the west.

The EU, which seeks to imitate the US in every way, has not yet understood the necessity of throwing off the chains of an overseas oppressor, and with such waif men, I doubt it will ever achieve the mental fortitude to do so. The US's power is so absolute as to frustrate the Franco-German attempts to make the EU a viable state with one army. Brexit more than anything showed Union is a gift, but leaving the Union is a pretext for punishment

It seems that yesterday had been among the bloodiest days in both the Yemeni and Libyan Civil Wars, if not the very bloodiest.

On the Marib frontlines, the crucial Kofal Military Camp had likely been pierced during the last days, but it increasingly looks like that its still held by the Hadi forces.

In Libya, noone knows. News is so sporadic and both sides are so full of shit, that its hard to say who had the upper hand yesterday.
There are three active frontlines that saw '''''major'''' combat operations (western border, southern Tripoli, Sirte road)
It looks like turkish drones have taking out the Sirte Operations Room of Haftar, including killing its top commander, but again, no confirmation from the Haftar side

Attached: Marib when.jpg (1536x943, 336.13K)

Is that a chimp?

can someone help me understand the libyan civil war? i know it's in shambles after gaddafi, like most post-arab spring countries, but neither major government seems to have any good intentions for the area.

Between all the powers, Haftar and the House of Representatives is the only one in control of the oil resources of Libya. Serraj is burning away the taxes of Tripoli on foreign powers, but he does not have much oil to work with. Oil price is very low lately, however.

Attached: file.png (608x662, 174.76K)

(First Libyan Civil War, Muammar Gaddafi is about to invade the city of Benghazi to 'remove terrorists' before Barack Obama launches a series of airstrikes on him, culminating in a drone being used as close air support above a militia from Misrata that forced Gaddafi out of a car and killed him brutally. Shortly after, terrorist militias in Benghazi kill the American ambassador in the consulate of Benghazi.)
The Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya vs National Transitional Council

(Assassination of Abdul Fatah Younis)
National Transitional Council vs its own secularist officers, after the head of state orders the Commander-in-Chief assassinated for talking to Saif al Islam Gaddafi.

(GNC is elected, replaces NTC. On second election incumbents lose, causing them to reject the validity of the second election in order to extend their mandate. The second parliament meets in Tobruk, inaugurating the legitimate House of Representatives. Khalifa Haftar declares the GNC closed, beginning Operation Dignity. Other militias oppose it with Operation Dawn, which re-takes Tripoli International Airport from them. The GNC at this point passes anti-Gaddafication laws, while the HoR opposes them in every respect, having disproportionate former members of government involved. President Al-Thani orders the army in 2014 to remove Islamists from Tripoli. As the war goes on, the GNC declares a 'National Salvation Government' (Islamist))
GNC vs HoR

(At a UN meeting in Shirkat, the factions agree to work towards united elections. The National Salvation Council (Islamist) agrees to this, while Haftar eventually re-negs on the deal. Due to this the GNA is almost entirely made up of the former NTC planes/soldiers, with a UN-appointed head, and the unelected mandate extending GNC already joining it. The NTC produces a 'Grand Mufti'. The House of Representitives attacks Tripoli.
GNA (NTC - DAWN) vs. HOR (LNA - DIGNITY)

As for good guys, bad guys.. ikhwanis backed by the Turkish government can only ever be considered bad guys. These are not people following the laws of the country, they are mercenaries of a foreign power trying to implement political projects with foreign weapons. Libya under the GNA, cannot be called independent, does not have natural resources, and does not have popular support. Whether HoR/LNA is good or not, the Libyan National Army represents an institution Libya needs to regain, one with monopolistic control over the state, if the chaos in Libya is ever to end. Haftar is certainly not as Turkish propaganda attempts to model him, far from an authoritarian figure, he does not even have ambitions in politics. It is as a military commander he is engaging in the war on Tripoli, which is not held by a military.

Yeah I know they did , thats besides my point. At this moment most of nato members do not meet their yearly quota of 2% of their GDP going into nato spending. Pic related. The longer this goes on , the more legitimacy Nato will lose. Take Greece and Turkey for example. Do they respect their NATO alliance? Clearly no. In most peoples eyes NATO is 50% joint exercises and 50% places where the US can build their bases on to pressure Russia. Take the F35 for example. Turkey was part of the construction program but once they bought the memeS-400 from the Russians , USA immediately pulled them from the program. They knew that Turkey would propably sell information to the Russians regarding to countering the stealth aspect of the airplane in no time.

Attached: 1585478413658.jpg (750x934, 68.88K)

Rather than Haftar, who could be more good than the son of Gaddafi? The special forces of the Jamahiriya, al Saiqa, are now in LNA. Saif's People's Front for the Liberation of Libya now coordinates with the LNA. Saif al Islam Gaddafi is a candidate for presidential election within the territories held by the LNA. And Haftar is willing to permit this, so within that, Haftar has made a good decision. Meanwhile, Serraj invites Erdogan to drone Libya at will.

Attached: file.png (480x270, 175.66K)

I am sorry but I dont really get your point here.

very informative. thank you.
>and 50% places where the US can build their bases on to pressure Russia
i'm pretty sure that's all USA cares about. the quotas are glorified suggestions at this point. NATO has obviously been obsolete for years but it helps the USA undermine their targets in russia and by proxy in the middle east.

The country is totally fucked and splintered since the anti-Gadaffi war, with myriads of factions, tribes and independent towns all doing their own stuff.

You had a somewhat hopeful election, which resulted in a Muslim Brotherhood controlled government which did not represent the election results at all and which was pressing for unconstitutional bullshit that inflamed a lot of political opponents.

On the other side you have a former CIA asset turned wannaby dictator, being held afloat by saudi money and egyptian military aid, who tried some kind of coup, which totally failed.

It resulted in two governments four years ago, that both have little legitimacy, utterly incompetent military commanders and are drenched with islamist groups and foreign mercenaries.

The UN tried to form a Unity Government of the two, which turned out to be just a dress-over of the Islamist/MB side, but wich for some insane reason is still now considered to be the international recognized government.

Since the last two years there are also increasing european/UN efforts to prop up the MB government in Tripoli, mainly in the hope that they can stem the refugee streams.

Since the last autumn also Turkey is massively intervening on their side, hoping to gain a foothold and to realize their mediterranean Great Power dreams. The effects of that intervention are mediocre at best, though.

tl;dr: both sides are shitty incompetent actors in an african-style civil war, that you shouldnt support.
Because Haftar is supposedly secular, supported by Russia and against the EU side, Yas Forums tends to shill for him and he might indeed be the lesser evil, but if that is enough to cheer for a saudi/Macron puppet dependent on islamist forces, you have to decide for yourself

replied here

I'm saying the military of NATO is stronger than the prospective military of the EU, and by existing lulls the EU into a false sense of security that prevents it from developing the institutions necessary it would need in order to match the United States in a multipolar world. It is like Kurds relying on the US - people oblivious to the fact that they are being exploited, so lulled into lethargic excess they assume there is no need for things like an EU army, an independent military command separate from NATO. If the EU had an army, it would not be in the state it is today. NATO invites the competitors Turkey and US to eviscerate the borders of the EU in the absence of any challenger.

This but with MB

But thats the thing , EU and NATO have so many mutual members. Their goals should not be so far apart. Unless we go ahead and stop pretending that NATO is an alliance anymore and more of mercenary program for the USA...

Israel isn't necessarily ZOG.

Jamahiriya is imminent after the fall of Tripoli

elaborate

An alliance empowers the members through mutual cooperation, NATO is completely one sided in favor of the US and accomplishes no European goals.

Since the Syrian war is more or less getting wrapped up, can we expect to see more visible Syrian contributions to the wars in Libya or Yemen?
I think I vaguely remember that they are already sending help to Haftar, but in rather limited quantities.
