If infection on a larger scale then more resources should have been put into getting troops and agents to suspected people and serving them with house arrest or quarantine orders. There was little done to mitigate chinese nationals wondering about freely before the window closed.
at any case, i'm of the opinion the infection can't be stopped now at its current levels and so we might as well accept the loss or risk of loss of life as an inevitability. the country can't be placed on a sacrificial altar of the elderly, especially since it's most likely to be pointless as the current measures are hardly even preventing spread
Greg remote vs Greg w/Live studio reaction is a bit different. He thrives on an audince whether a live panel or a studio, even just camera guys like during Red Eye, but he'll be back
Is there a single campaign promise that trump has flip-flopped on? >finish the wall in the first year >lock hillary up >no gun control >no corporate bailouts >no increased welfare >repeal Obamacare >reduce the deficit
Dr David Price (Cornell Medical Center NYC) claims that 99% of all COVID infections are from physical contact, NOT DROPLETS. He says that people get sick from touching an infected surface, and rubbing it in your eyes, mouth or nose.
If this is true, that will mean that infections will be very easy to slowdown and even stop. Watch the first 5 minutes to see the Dr yourself.

The time for action was in January, insufficient action happened quite a lot later. Then it went dumb and balls to the walls. I seriously think this comparison of sacrifice is wrong because it implies that we must either destroy the country or murder people when the spread of the virus is not intrinsically our fault.
Colton Campbell
there is nothing wrong with being attracted to guys
the sacrifice i'm talking about is the economic one. the loss of life is just an inevitable act of nature at this point. the economic collapse is one of volition

Looking forward to this damn lockdown ending. I'm going stir crazy.
Before that one and in that post the implication is that the situation requires that we do X or people must die. I'm saying there must be alternatives like isolation of risk groups until we isolated the thing itself.
Right here. A bit dry without the audience. I remember the show originally having no audience and, according to his Monologues book, he didn't think an audience was going to be a good idea at first, but once he had one, he felt the spark.

Going for walks only does so much. I'm missing camping season.
Those are orthogonal problems. I'm not bored, just physically restless.

i do not think isolation of the illness is possible at this point without that economic collapse. risk groups can be isolated, sure, but people are being so fucking retarded i don't think they actually know what kind of lifestyle helps prevent communicable disease it's possible to mitigate the loss of life, but i think the gritty realistic answer is leadership needs to be prepared to issue an order that puts that safety into their own hands rather than taking that burden on all of society at great cost
>The sick pet in Liège tested positive after showing classic symptoms of COVID-19 — including difficulty breathing — a week after its owner first fell sick, health officials told a press conference, the Brussels Times reports.
>The cat had diarrhea, kept vomiting and had breathing difficulties. The researchers found the virus in the cat’s feces,” professor Steven Van Gucht said Friday, according to the outlet.
>Meanwhile, the World Health Organization insists that there is “no evidence that a dog, cat or any pet can transmit COVID-19” to humans.
This thing is mutating too fast. Remember when China started confiscating people's pets? If this thing gets to the bats in brazil we are so fucked
It seems wise if you were overly concerned that you would say 60+ and risk groups go home for a bit while all the shit was tracked down and sanitized, NYC being a vast portion of the cases. I don't think it's so gritty to handle the thing more logically and not consider it as a tradeoff but acting optimally. That's just my opinion.
