If someone owns a piece of property, they have the right to do with it what they want, as long as what they do does not infringe upon the rights of somebody else. You are renting property from someone else. They own it, and are allowing you the privilege to stay on their property, with cash to incentivise them to continue letting you stay on their property. If you do not want to pay somebody else, buy your own land. If you cannot afford to buy your own land, rent from someone else. If you can't rent from someone else, then either you are broke, you haven't looked into alternatives, or someone else is infringing upon your rights and you should seek help.

Ban dual citizen ownership of real estate/land in the united states. Ban 1st generation immigrant ownership of real estate/land in the united states. Use military to round up/deport all illegal aliens in the united states. Put a moratorium on all h1-b's, work visas,work permits, etc. for 3(?) years.(also punish the fuck out of companies that have been abusing this system to displace american workers by posting job openings with rediculously high demands and low pay), and deport all those participating. Institute real limits on housing ownership in suburban areas. like say for example, 4 houses per naturally born citizen aged 18+. i don't hate the idea of snowbirds necessarily, they arent a huge problem that i can see. Institute regulations on who can own real estate/land similar to those on firearms. example background check to see what you already own, no felons, etc.

when landlords stop getting checks we will see why leveraging was an awful idea and how fickle the imaginary money that inflates our markets are. land lords are making up the cost of renovation and initial payment with consistent rent, oil companies do the same thing where they take huge expensive loans to pay for their projects and then sell to a market where they make marginal profit. the banks dont actually HAVE that much money in holding to equal the worth of the loan. in a more responsible society, banks would be forced to have larger fractions of the money they loan out to risky endeavors like oil and auto industry loans, but as it is now, as soon as oil producers stop selling and start foreclosing, banks will have useless assets and no way to get their imaginary money back. back to the landlord problem, landlords in essence invested in bad tenents who will not be able to pay a check and will have to either evict them or become insolvent leading to "the projects". banks will get a bail out for their bad behavior, they always do, but landlords wont and we will see property values and property quality plummet as a result.
