Why would people who had a great quality of life want to move to Africa and change all that? The civil rights movement is a proven disaster. Segregation at that time wasn't exactly 'segregation' because, the races would always work and integrate with each other when both sides benefited from it. The whites built alot of infrastructure for the blacks and both benefit from it. For the black nationalists this wasn't enough. They wanted to be treated equal but not realising that they were swapping voluntary good will for government intervention. It's been all down hill ever since.
