Average unemployment check will be $750 - 1k PER WEEK. Why would any entry level worker continue to work? You can simply quit / stop going to work and claim “safety concerns” over COVID and get more than you’re probably making at your job. Anyone can claim this regardless of how many hours they work.
>grocery workers, nurses, etc., are “essential” >oh btw, we’re giving everyone except grocery workers, nurses, etc., $1k per week so fuck you
Grocery stores would have to start paying entry level workers $40+ an hour to compete. This will absolutely fuck all businesses other than Amazon-Whole-Foods and others that can financially compete with the Federal government. They’re trying to destroy all small businesses, get all entry level workers out of the work force, then in a month when they turn off the crisis, all the businesses will be insolvent and and entry level market will be absolutely flooded leaving millions upon millions of people unemployed and with no money. Then they will bring in some kind of UBI with a requirement that you get a vaccine and ID2020 or some shit. This shit stinks to fucking high heaven.
Gotta drain the unemployment slush funds as quickly as possible. Part of the swamp.

People on middle.management aren't going to cancel their careers over some pocket change and lose their shot at becoming a supervisor. Dumbfuck OP neet.

This is just a severance package for when they eventually get cut off completely. See Trump is bringing in more foreign workers through the H1B who will eventually take over. Everything is falling into place, just wait and see.

Everyone is getting it not just you. So those workers get paid in addition to that.

This will have no effect on employer funded unemployment funds. It's just $600 directly from the Fed printing press.
WRONG. Everyone gets a 1 time $1,200 payment that will possibly be made monthly for a couple months depending on how things play out. This is $600 WEEKLY on top of what is already offered by employer funded unemployment funds and is only for the UNEMPLOYED. They are basically bribing every entry level worker in the country to quit their job.
Correct. People at entry level will. Exactly as I explained.

>be me >33 year >married,1 kid >prior to this i was 75% stay at home dad >worked 2-4 night a week at a high end supper club >made good cash every night >restaurant closes month of April for spring cleaning and overall slowness that time of the year >file my unemployment 2 weeks earlier >getting $930/ week now >available for 12 weeks >plus the incoming Trump bucks >wife says "please don't go back to work, I love you at home" >planning all the nice improvements we will be making to the homestead with our financial windfall
>mfw I smoke weed all day, hang out with a 2 year old, get to make delicious meals for the family and play about 7 hours of classic wow a night.

You must be LAID OFF, not fired, not quit to collect unemployment. Jesus, 90% of you people in here are literal morons with no understanding of how the world works.
Evan Torres
That's not how unemployment works. You can't just quit and then claim unemployment. You have to be laid off. If you try to claim it when you purposefully quit or were fired for your faults of your own. Doing so is illegal and the company can come after you; furthermore, the State does an investigation before approving you to ensure you're not trying to rip them off. To boot, almost all states have a minimum number of hours you must work for the company to be eligible.
Based off your state these benefits will only last so long as well and you'll be required to likely go to meetings, job fairs, and show you are putting an effort at getting a job or they will kick you off.

Sure you are... n most states, seasonal workers do not qualify to draw unemployment benefits. Workers who work only certain times during the year are not considered full-time employees. They are not afforded the same benefits and compensation as full-time employees in most states.
