That peak prosperity boomer on youtube I've been following since December, but everybody in masks is a game changer mainly because sick people wearing them can't infect others as easily. While the virus on it's own would pass through the mask it's attached to droplets which get caught.

Good thing about cloth masks is they can be washed and reused as well, freeing the other masks for hospital staff. Also, masks should have the Taiwan flag printed on them, or Winnie the Pooh so hoarders don't fucking buy them all.

According to the statistics, the number of new cases per day has gone down for the last few days, which is making people claim we all have this under control.

I doubt this is the case though. I don't think anything will stop the virus, all you can do is slow it down so it infects the same number of people but over a larger amount of time and reduces the stress on the ICU.

The issue is not much is being done to actually increase ICU capacity for when this spikes. They’ve said they plan to double it, but that only takes us to 4000, nowhere near enough

The explosion in cases is quite literally as a direct result of those people we let off the cruise ship. It was something like 75% of new cases were tied to those people in some way or another.

Most of the recent cases have come from returning citizens from overseas, mostly from cruise ships, who are mostly boomers. The statistics are starting to look better, but that is no grounds for complacency.
