Why do people take Christianity literally, especially the (((ALTERED))) current version? Why don't they just accept it as spiritual advice and stop proselytizing? And if they don't even bother to follow what's written, or want to change it, why do they even pretend to believe in it?
Let's recap the story so far:
>create people who didn't ask to exist and then tell them they need to obey you, but you give them free will because you're a narcissist, but also make sure to make them innocent and naive so they don't understand the consequences of their actions, and then tell them not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil or they'll die, but they don't understand death because they haven't eaten from the tree, and then you allow a devil you created to manipulate them when they don't understand deceit so they eat from the tree and then you cast them out of the paradise you made and cause them endless suffering even though you knew this was going to happen because you're omnipotent, but you didn't actually want to punish them even though you've caused countless generations of people immeasurable suffering so you send your son down to earth, but he's also you at the same time, so then you torture your son who is yourself to save the things you created from your own wroth all because you can't go back on your judgement otherwise that would set a bad precedent and obviously playing completely transparent tricks with yourself and forcing people to suffer for something they didn't do but definitely will do because you designed them that way is way better.
Why do people take Christianity literally, especially the (((ALTERED))) current version...

Everything Jesus said was meant to be taken literally, besides parables, of course. How about you stop sinning and follow Jesus instead of complaining?
Because Christians are neurotics and/or psychotics
>but you give them free will because you're a narcissist
Wouldn't a narcissist force his creations to love him instead of free will? Your entire post is buzz words and nonsense.
OP is the most logical presentation possible of Christian doctrine
He kinda forces love by threatening people with torture
it was a literal story from the very beginning
the spiritual advice interpretation is a cope for people are too embarrassed to literally buy the story but too attached to give it up
If you reject the Lord Jesus then do so and take your chances and move on. Gtfo with your meddling. Your post is nigger tier.
Whites should follow WHITE beliefs but the Jew killed most of those. Everything from the Middle East is degenerate and anti-Aryan, but Cuckstianity serves Israel and Americans were raised by the Jew since birth.
The Jew craftily permits those who imagine they're not his slaves to attack him but their end results undermine the White race, like Hitler destroying Europe so the Bolsheviks won in the East and Socialists won in the West.
The Jew is far smarter (though most are ugly goblins) than other races so he wins except against Asians who have no superstitionist context to bow to Tel Aviv.
Aren't you late to shabbat?
We all know God is real. Not this BS but the true religion. What are you a man of science? Lol
What is shabbat?
Torture isn't threatened in the Bible, just death. Your soul dies. The other option is to join with God. Up to you. Hell is a made up thing. It's not in the Bible. You people need to actually read the Word of God instead of listening to morons.
>want love
>instead of making people love you you give them free will not to love you
>but then you give them an ultimatum to love you or be tortured in hell
sounds kinda narcissistic to me.
the day jews pray to yahweh
Other Christians disagree with you.
Why only pray on one day?
>tortured in hell
source? Hell isn't found in the Bible. Stop listening to others tell you what the Bible says and instead read it yourself, ignoramus.
>What are you a man of science?
No
>Lol
kids shouldn't be on Yas Forums. Especially when adults are discussing things.
>Other Christians disagree with you.
Why should I or anyone else care? My only concern is what the Bible says.
The other Christians will say the same
There was only one Christian and he died on the cross.
Eternal torment is a concept created by Dante's divine comedy. "Hell" doesn't necessarily mean you get eternally tortured if you deny Christ. It could just mean your consciousness gets destroyed, or perhaps you wander a spiritual plane that isnt heaven
>The other Christians will say the same
Good for them. The burden of proof is on them. You need a logic lesson too?
Get the fuck outta here with your Nietzche
You mean this sad attempt at philosophy? For shame
Revelation 21:8
Matthew 25:46
Psalm 9:17
2 Thessalonians 1:9
Matthew 13:50
Acts 2:27
Mark 9:43
Jude 1:7
Proverbs 15:24
Matthew 13:42
Matthew 25:41
Revelation 19:20
Took 5 seconds of searching to disprove your retarded belief there is no "hell".
>inb4 eternal lake of fire isn't actually hell
Fuck you!
>free will
>Bondage to sin
Choose one faggot.
I think the book was written after the concept of hell.
No Christians can ever proof what they say is true
>spend all this time writing up a shitty strawman of Christian theology instead of just copy pasting what actual Orthodox/Traditional Christian theologians have produced
Why waste the time with a strawman at all? Just go to the actual source, your understanding of the material is obviously garbage.
Cool.. show me where it says hell. None of these do. I see scriptures about end times and how crappy that will be on earth, and hades where Jesus went to preach during the 3 days he was dead.. where's this everlasting torment of hell? Quote the text, don't just post a bunch of verse references. Quote what you're talking about. Just ONE showing of hell.
why are you pretending christianity isn't a religion? do you enjoy lying? is christianity a book? where did you find christianitybook, in the library? did you decide to read and believe what it says on your own while deducing it from scratch page by page? how long did it take you to do this?
>No Christians can ever proof what they say is true
Alright.. I see I'm dealing with a brainlet. I was talking about proof of where it says such a thing in the scriptures....keep up.
You said a bunch of words here, none of which are applicable to what I have been saying nor the post you are quoting. Try again.
Matthew 18:8-9
How about you read the the quotes I posted if you're not even going to read the bible you fraud.
>But as for the cowards, unbelievers, detestable persons, murderers, the sexually immoral, and those who practice magic spells, idol worshipers, and all those who lie, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. That is the second death.
>their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. That is the second death.
>lake that burns with fire and sulfur
>second death
>And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
>everlasting punishment
play semantics all you want kike. Hell is defined as afterlife punishment. Which a pit of fire and brimstone definitely is.
ok buddy. Go ahead and copy and paste what actual Orthodox/Traditional theologians have produced. I'll wait. Not that it matter since I was specifically referencing western Christianity not eastern.
>Matthew 18:8-9
and right before that he was talking about the garbage dump and how it never stops. People tossed all their crap into this everlasting fire. He was making a metaphor. He said "'And be not afraid of those killing the body, and are not able to kill the soul, but fear rather Him who is able both soul and body to destroy in gehenna." Gehanna was the name of this garbage dump. Don't fear man that can destroy only the body, but fear God who can destroy the soul. That's the point.
The other user has a better verse
Everything Jesus said was True. Just because I'm explaining the context of a cherry picked verse he stated doesn't make it better or worse. Makes you simply want to believe something outside of his meaning. He made it clear in the context of this metaphor. Ignore it at your own peril.
fpbp
/thread.
>everlasting punishment
Right. Death. Death doesn't go away, it's ever lasting. Jesus offers the opposite, eternal life. Why would he offer eternal life if people were also eternally alive "in hell" being tormented? Doesn't make any sense.
Okay buddy. That's really cool. Now what about the other 99% of the bible that weren't direct quotes from Jesus?
>completely ignores the first quote and goes straight for the second.
convenient.
>Now what about the other 99% of the bible that weren't direct quotes from Jesus?
Like what? Show me eternal torture in some place called "hell"
>especially the (((ALTERED))) current version
Why do fedorafaggots think this is even an argument? The KJV bible is the least altered version and the alterations were simple word translations, not contextual meanings. Keep grasping at straws faggot.
Cope
nah that's a fantastic argument, you got me.
You just interpret the bible incorrect
>>The wicked go down to the realm of the dead, all the nations that forget God
>IM SURE DA REALM OF DA DED IS JUS A META4
>>and throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
>who knew dead people could weep and gnash their teeth
>>In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire
>WHOA WHOA WHOA PUNISHMENT OF ETERNAL FIRE
>WHAT DAT IS?
Take your cope somewhere else. Reminder, not believing in hell is not believing in the Bible and not believing in the Bible is not believing in the word of God and not believing in the word of God sends you to hell, whether you believe it or not.
Interpret? You have no basis for there being a hell where people are eternally tormented. I ask where that is, you have no answer and then tell me I just "interpret the bible incorrect".
>has no idea what Hades is
>specifically referencing Western Christianity
First off, you didn't mention that, you mentioned "Christianity" in general.
When Christianity spread to the west it was still the Orthodox Christian faith. You're referencing a heresy that has cropped up because the Church of Rome fucked their theology and abandoned ecumenism.
Regarding theology,
oca.org
This is a good introductory reference to genesis, which is where you started with your recap (fitting of course). If you want to get into real theology, rather than jerking off on the internet about our individual relatively shitty understandings of it, then you can try to find "In the Beginning: The True Message of the Genesis Origin Stories" by Fr. Lawrence Farley, the author of the link I pasted above.
However, if you just want to shit on a heresy of Christianity, rather than genuine Christianity, then go ahead. I like shitting on them too.
The other user has given you two examples now. I believe him over you.
There is no Christianity just suffering.
>They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire
aaaaand let's read what Jude 1:7 ACTUALLY says in the original greek.
Jewish mythology fucking sucks.
Fuck abrahamic religions. why do people follow this bullshit.
Greek mythology is the best desu
No that's just you being in your bondage to sin. Stop being a slave to it and find actual freedom.
Because white people understand the value of a metaphysical system that has a singular assumption from which all the prerequisites of perception stem. A Logos God is the ultimate principle for all the principles other metaphysical systems have to assume, such as logic or aesthetics.
There's a reason Greeks were the first to convert when Christ came and was recognized as the Logos made manifest.
I sin relatively less than other people. I just have shit luck and am haunted by very resourceful demons.
Unfortunately, d u b s do confirm.
Demons always try to influence. All you have to do is keep Jesus' commandments and they cannot at least enter you. The key is simply to follow Christ. By this we know that we know him. What sin can't you stop doing?
