I was 22 on 9/11 and worked near the pentagon. There was more of a dystopian feeling the first few weeks. Especially when I drove past the pentagon for work and it was still smoking. But life at home was mostly unchanged back then, I was still able to go to work. Unlike now where we are forced into quarantine. I enjoy being home more to be honest

I was 9, and remember coming downstairs for breakfast and seeing the towers on fire on the news, didn't really make sense to me, but I remember seeing lots of Taliban jokes and the world getting smaller after that for sure. The internet took over what was left of an already fucky childhood

9/11 was like getting shot unexpectedly at home. You're house never looks quite the same and security measures are put into place that weren't there before.

This is the closest in my life I've felt to things being on the brink of collapse. Like, society completely falling apart if this gets significantly worse.
