They're not. The blind patriotism here is a joke.

Wait how can the poorest 20% of Americans be richer than an entire European nation?
Ayden Cox
Why Do Americans believe unsourced screen caps instead of actual statics?

They hate us 'cause they anus.
Robert Martinez
doesnt this average out all the european countries? So countries like germany have to average out with shit hole countries like romania?
William Reyes
i think because it averages out all the european countries together
Aiden Murphy
So only 6 countries above USA
Europe has 44 countries
confirmed USA is richer than most of Europe it all checks out
Matthew Nguyen
you ever see how much they pay for things?
Ian Torres
they're envious of our bbc
Ethan Myers
Thank god Corona-chan has totally eroded most peoples faith in the government

>you ever see how much they pay for things?
80% of what they pay is for their socialism... it all comes back to them in the form of free baguettes for the refugees
Jason Green
Why are Americans so jealous of not being fat
Nolan Edwards
>Hurr durr america bad.
This is "the grass is always greener" syndrome if I've ever seen it. You've probably never left you left leaning state but let me tell you Europe apart from some places in Ireland and some parts of the Czech region suuuuuuck.
Hudson Moore
you gotta account for all the health care and educational expenses ect.
Samuel Evans
oh look, another chink slide thread
John Scott
>doesnt this average out all the european countries? So countries like germany have to average out with shit hole countries like romania?
Same reason you average all of USA states, and not just the richest ones
Brandon Ortiz
I hope they didn't include Eastern Europe and expected to be taken seriously.

Well the US has the most Corona infections in the world so yes literally anywhere else is better.
Noah Nguyen
we are not, soon you will have martian law and the world is laughung at you
Colton Thomas
Now add up all of Europe together.
Ethan White
same shitty bite thread again ? mutt fuck off
Connor Jenkins
>Well the US has the most Corona infections in the world so yes literally anywhere else is better.
More infections, but spread across a larger population... so the infection rate is lower
also the death rate is like 1%... compared to Italy which is like 10%
Confirmed USA healthcare system is 10 times better than Eurocucks socialist garbage
Blake Gray
Am i?
Eli Campbell
those are income taxes
things just cost more there, I lived there for 9 years
Leo Allen
Maybe sharpen that edge with some of that teenage agnst.
John Cooper
Look at the actual source for the data used.
The chart compares the 20th percentile US household consumption to the mean per capita income for Europeans.
Even if you assume consumption = income, if you divide the US household figure by 2.6 (the average number of people per household in the US) the per capita is around 8500, which is about or just below the Mexico average per capita figure.
Beyond that, the article compares consumption, not wealth. Americans buy more, and generally have more debt.
This article is nothing but feel-good propaganda piece for people who have never seen actual poverty for themselves in either the US or abroad.
Wyatt Sullivan
that's fake and gay and OP is a fag like always
Evan Robinson
Why not combine the entire Anglosphere while your at?
>More infections, but spread across a larger population
China has over 4 times the population then the US and still has less infections. Probably because Jinping never tried to convince his citizens not to wear masks the exact opposite of the Trump administration
Hunter Powell
Have you seen the US dollar lately? Update your chart cause the AUD is 0.6 exchange to USD. Average wage here is now $50k USD
Jace Martin
>Give billions worth of gibs to poor African Americans
>They’re suddenly richer than the average European
Gee who would’ve though
Brayden Thompson
the amount for all countries was converted to USD
Logan Torres
Last I checked travel from Australia, South Africa, America, Canada, and UK required Passports and currency exchanges.
Xavier Mitchell
>China has over 4 times the population then the US and still has less infections.
Correct, but China still has a higher death rate, so USA capitalist healthcare wins
Austin Nelson
Because 20% of Americans is still the wealth accumulated of 60 millions americans. If you put that against poor european countries with maybe 8 million people then yeah, they might be wealthier.
But this is like the "50% of black americans are smarter than 20% of white people.
Camden Jackson
In 2017 you moron ... ins 2020. havent you been watching the NEWS!
Joshua Perez
Ah you never traveled outside the country I see why you are such a patriotard
canadaduientrylaw.com
>China still has a higher death rate
Lets see how that holds up in another 2 weeks when Blumpf sends everyone back to work
Joseph Parker
>Why are europoors so jealous of america?
no one is you are literally brainwashed the murrica no1 shit is your cope
Nolan Adams
haha you're spreading that logic butter too thin...
poorest 20% is richer than 50% =/= smartest 50% blacks smarter than 20% dumber whites
Gavin Evans
if you have any data from 2020 why don't you just post it and refute me?
Noah Rivera
adopt our tax system and you will be fucking poor
Nathan Green
>Lets see how that holds up in another 2 weeks when Blumpf sends everyone back to work
fair enough actually... honestly lets hope it's not the case and death rate stays 1% or less
Caleb Sanchez
I'm glad you're here, I scrolled through hoping to find some seething culturally enriched eurofags
Adrian Collins
It's also purely consumer data.
When you take into account consumer debt - which is all debt used to fund consumption, rather than investment (eg: a mortgage would not be considered consumer debt) - then the US skyrockets and you can see how the article in the OP is deeply flawed.
Jack Gomez
Because we'll never as many personal liberties or enjoy a standard of living as high as yours.
Grayson Bailey
Yes that's why i put actual population numbers with it so it makes sense. The accumulated wealth of 50 million compared to around 10 millions. But then again, i never read the research so i could just be talking nonsense.

We can buy more stuff because our homes are bigger and things are cheaper since the government doesnt rape us with taxes

Did you not see the image ... most currentcies have lost 10% against the USD in the last month and a half. Comparatively, behind people in Luxembourg, Americans are the richest people on the plant on average.
Samuel James
You're missing the conclusion there.
As a population, you buy more things because you have more credit cards and are more willing to put yourself into consumer debt.
And consumption =/= wealth, no matter what the flawed article in the OP might claim.
Ryan Turner

Aaron Cox
American's need that money to fuel their ravenous appetites
Charles Sullivan
An American state is often the size of a European country, if not bigger. So it's a decent comparison
Colton Ortiz
Luis Ortiz
yeah, but you gotta do the full math equation. Imagine having 2 kids going to university paid by the state vs paying it for american kids + more massive inflation on education,
Caleb Powell
Because they pay more in taxes
Because they pay more for food
Because they pay more for homes/apartments by SQ FEET
For example Iceland takes home 15% less after taxes, pays 50% more for land and about 25% more for food
>numbeo.com
Xavier Murphy
It seems like they think about us all the time. Always hating on us and telling us their countries are better and all that tiny dick shit. No one cares about you guys. No one thinks hmmm, wow Germany is a pretty cool country or omg England has hot girls.
Carter Harris
Actually, the chart above should be organized via PPP to be worth anything. As a result, the US end ups being fourth, behind Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Iceland.
That said, once again, you have to take into account debt. As shows, consumer debt in the US is rather high, which comes to show that even if Americans have more purchasing power, they end up spending beyond their means more often than other populations - whether it's due to medical debt, car payments, credit card payments, etc.
Average wage is total income minus taxes. Taxes were already removed from the equation.
David Anderson
Ireland and scotland have cute girls, celtic girls are hot
Aaron Gomez
>study excludes the UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland and Norway but includes Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, Albania, Kosovo and Armenia for some unexplained reason
>"20% poorest of americans" is the lowest-paid 20% of Americans who are fully employed and have been in unbroken employment for 5 years
>uses consumption as a measure of wealth
please keep posting based ameritards. you're so dumb it becomes brilliant
Daniel Ross
>pooerst 20%
>annual income
all of this is totally irrelecant to quality of life since none actually take EXPENSES into account.
for instance, expense here are huge compared to wages, but housing in non big cities is dirt cheap. In germany all expense are dirt cheap but housing is so expensive that everyone rents etc. In america I assume its similar to germany but with more house ownership and income but with additional expenses euros dont have(health school ), either way, wealth is complex.
Jeremiah Wright
>Average wage is total income minus taxes. Taxes were already removed from the equation.
No that is gross. The link i provide has monthly net AVG at the bottom
Average Monthly Net Salary (After Tax)
US 3,319.87 $(465,412.66 kr)
Iceland 2,804.89 $ (393,217.53 kr)
