I found life in Aus to be much easier and more straightforward than in the US, and it felt like home. It retained the same sense of community as NZ, and a relatively similar sense of hospitality. If you don't feel the need to move, having an Australian passport is the second-best bolthole one could ask for, I would go about applying for citizenship as soon as possible
