This is what a log scale of the death rates currently looks like across multiple developed nations. I'm just not seeing how or why this would suddenly turn into a situation where millions of (first world) people are killed. I think the most interesting part about the virus is how a few countries are taking that approach. Mexico being one of them, it will be really neat to see exactly how many people die when you do nothing and how many die when you shut everything down.
