We Norwegians LITERALLY created all European naval based empires.
youtube.com/watch?v=Xa5T21qNQkA youtube.com/watch?v=XORSpUUy0lQ >we had to build ships to communicate accross our fjords >we built bigger and bigger ships >eventually we invaded Denmark (who invaded back once they learned how to build ships from us) >we invaded Europe (none of them had a navy AT ALL) >they learned to have a navy FROM US
If you read into Norwegian kings of that time, I'm sure you will find some interesting stories.
Sebastian Rodriguez
BS, we CREATED civilizations.
Jacob Lee
Sayysss Harald Fairhair
Moving on, how well versed are you in Norwegian history
Hunter Morgan
You wouldn't even EXIST without Norway.
Jaxon Hill
I hate to break it to you but if your line stayed in Norway, then your ancestors were probably too weak and feminine to join the real men who went out, pillaged and took land. Then with no real men to guide your ancestors, they became Denmark's little cuck. While the rest of our strong lines went throughout Europe and helped colonize America.
No you didn’t. There are a lot of things that are great about western civilization. Almost none of those come from your part of the world. Also stop believing in the Jewish lies about your history.
No, you don't understand. You don't have the info so it's ok. We had the Kalmar Union (initiated by a NORWEGIAN royal marriage to Sweden - the entire union was a Norwegian creation). After a few year after the Danish king fucking too much with the Swedes, Sweden left the Kalmar Union and Norway was stuck in it (no called (Denmark-Norway).
It was all because of the Black Death. Before that we were NUMBER 1 IN SCANDINAVIA. I now hope CoronaChan will brings us back what was TAKEN FROM US.
We shaped European naval history Without you would not exist What's so hard fo understand nothingburger?
Daniel Kelly
Iberians kickstarted oceanic exploration
Parker Walker
You don’t even know what you are talking about. If anything naval history of Europe was shaped by the Portuguese. Do you even know what “caravel built” means ? How about a lateen sail ? I’ll give you a hint; your shitty longboats had neither.
It was IRRELEVANT AT THE TIME. It was WE Norwegians who started it again (also Iberians didn't go cross oceans at all like we did)). Also, we did this for CENTURIES before Europeans cought up.
>. If anything naval history of Europe was shaped by the Portuguese
LMAO KEK The Portugues were greate later but not at this time (I'm talking about). At this thime they had NOTHING. NO navy at all.
At this time the Holy Roman Empire asked the Norwegian king to become their emperor (mostly beause Norway had a powerful Navy). The Norwegian king declined.
Zachary Nguyen
At that time? No they didn't even REMOTELY travel how we did.
Kevin Rogers
A few centuries later yes, they became one of the greatest. But not in the 13th century.
Caleb Perez
>But not in the 13th century. Then it was literally 'Norway rule the waves'
Cameron Adams
>not holy >not Roman >not an empire
Nobody cares about pirates in longships raiding monasteries and pillaging Slavic farms. What exactly is your argument ? What is the technological innovation over, say, the ships the Roman trireme ?
Jose Clark
Is it true that you guys used to have "no jews allowed" as part of your constitution?
I’ll hand it to the Norwegians crossing the Atlantic in those times took balls. But they couldn’t even conquer the natives (who didn’t have metal, the wheel, etc) when they got there, and there was no amazing technical innovation over what other Europeans had in terms of sailing that I can see. They were brave to travel that far, but that’s about it.
Dylan Johnson
We had WAY better ships at that time. Also, we were not nearly enough to travel over to 'conquer' the natives. Other European countries/kingdoms literally had no navy at all. We brought it to them.
Lincoln Nguyen
You must understand, this was WAY before the British, French or Spanish empires. (that were ALL made possible because of us).
Carson Moore
Norway was literally the FIRST European naval based 'empire' Fucking copy cats
Oliver Hughes
What technological innovation made your ships WAY better. Can you articulate those ?
I’ve provided the two biggest technological innovations that allowed for the age of discovery; the lateen sail (Romans) and caravel built ship framing (Portuguese). Might add to that the magnetic compass (England ?).
Juan Bennett
>what is greece >what is rome
Daniel Fisher
>we did thing in the past Absolute state of Euroniggers
Charles Ward
>created greece and rome holy shit retards
Austin Collins
>caravel built ship framing (Portuguese) God damn... the Craval was created like 6 CENTURIES LATER IDIOT
John Martinez
Jej
Nolan Bennett
Caravel*
Lincoln Phillips
your speaking in English tho
Luke Martinez
who are the greeks, who are the romans
Grayson Turner
Ya'll are gay muslims.
Luis Scott
Yup it was the Norman's who founded modern England which was the greatest seafaring empire to have ever existed
Nolan Robinson
norwegian women built ships to sail to africa. they stayed there
Noah Taylor
I’m pretty sure Danemark is the more powerful and influential nation all things considered, and definitely Danish sounds better than Norwegian.
So I’m guessing that means you can’t answer my question. To repeat; what we’re the technological innovations the Vikings made with regards to sailing over, say, the Romans.
