This is a serious question regarding why Corona is treated differently from say a cold or flu . Ive been reading some of the symptoms of people who have been diagnosed- see here- usatoday.com
Is it because its unknown and thus unpredicatble? is it because its a bio weapon that our governments secretly know is really dangerous? Or is it just because old people die at a much higher rate than the general population?

The main problem i think is the need for ventilators to treat serious cases. The flu can turn into pneumonia but this tends to be bacterial and you give antibiotics and maybe oxygen and recover. This virus however causes lung conditions that can not be treated this way, thus you have to just ride it out with a machine breathing for you. We never needed this many machines before, so we didnt have them.
If we had enough ventilators for the entire population i doubt we would be treating this much different.

It is a weapon, deliberately released to plague the world. Who ever did it, also managed to plant misinfo about it through "official biowarfare response" -channels. We don't know enough about it, but what we do know makes it a serious threat. But the coronavirus is still just a decoy. The other "strain", the one they try to find vaccine against, the one we are not supposed to know or talk about is the real deal.

1. Because there is no vaccine. A normal flu would be cured by medicine if it get dangerous.
2. Because it takes more time for the outbreak and has a chance of 50% showing heavy symptoms, it spreads easier. You dont know that you are a carrier.
So the problem is it spreads wider and increase the possibility to hit people with bad health or imunsystem.

Coronavirus seems to activate other latent diseases, so if you have some norovirus, or tb or whatever, it makes those things worse. But in itself it isnt a big deal.

It's not about it's lethality, it's about it's rate of contagiousness. It's spread so quickly that if drastic measures weren't taken then every hospital would be in a state of triage. Unable to have the staff or beds or equipment available to do even standard hospital shit like taking proper care of a woman in labor or putting a cast on a kid with a broken leg. If you let every hospital become overwhelmed then everything falls apart.

slight fever and nausea - during 2 days
loss of smell and taste - still going
full on fever and dry cough - still going
can't fill lungs all the way with air - still going
