Let's play a housing game Yas Forums

Since all the landlords here say you should just buy bro, let us see how practical it is for you.

Rule: Before doing the below, the house must be within a 30 minute drive to your workplace. No cheating by commuting more than an hour a day.

Step 1: Post your income.
Step 2: Times that by a maximum of 2.5 to come up with what you can afford for a 30 year mortgage.
Step 3: Post pictures in your local area of what you can afford.

Step 1: $52,000/yr
Step 2: Can afford $130,000.
Step 3, pic related. It's just a shitty mobile home manufactured in 1969. There is nothing else within the 2.5x income range except for Boomer apartments you need to be 60+ to live in.

better tell the bank to appraise that mobile home at $140,000. don't want you owning anything

$65,000, can afford ~$162,500

$92,500 for a mobile home you can't even buy unless you're over 55 and you still have to pay lot rent. All listings near me are in this same boomer mobile home park.

Yikes.

>ok everyone, jump through hoops for me since wasting your time is a decent second prize to actually making a logical argument

Yes house prices are high due to (((bad central bank policy's)))

What's your point? We're all (mostly) NatSoc here who believe in improving the banking system....

Not possible for me. 2-bed place in a trailer park are ~$450,000 w/~$12,000 a yr in tax/lot fees.

And how the fuck is Jose the day laborer able to afford that? I don't understand how wetbacks can even afford to live in CA.

>buy a house worth 2.5 times your income
>on a 30 year mortgage
