What would happen if all landlords suddenly disappeared?

Genuine question, i mean it's easy to imagine what would happen if all construction workers/retail workers/engineers/farmers disappeared. But i genuinely can't see anything at all happening if all landlords vanished? I mean except the price of housing actually going down to the cost of its construction rather then it's current debt inflated bubble.

Complete and utter chaos...

chaos of what? it's not like they actually built their houses or have any expertise

Chaos is happening at all times. Don't be fooled

People who rent are not responsible enough to maintain houses. Eventually the state would have to step in as your new landlord and they'd take the rent straight out of your paycheck. Prepare to live in commie cubicles as all housing is now standarised in the interest of fairness.

Think of all the extra money the former tenants would have, they'd be out bar crawling every night. That would be very chaotic

Your properties would fall into massive disrepair and become nigger dens in which rape babies would be produced.
Millenials can't maintain anything they own. Hence why they don't own a house like non-degenerate.
>Disclosure: Born in 88

god i wish that was me

I believe 1 major corporation owns like 80% of all the rental houses here and there are strong rules about the pricing
The major thing that those shitters do is neglect maintance and shut down power randomly trying to bully cheap renters away

People who hate landlords probably unironically think cuck pods are a good idea and want to pay the government for the privilege of being able to live in them.

why are there so many landlord threads? what the fuck triggered people?

the their families would inherit their properties and become new landlords or sell them to other landlords

They would just lord over new things, maybe your soul who knows

I guess the Bernouts that raided Yas Forums are still trying to convince us to become socialists even after their candidate is going to lose.

If being a landlord is so easy, why don't you buy some land, build housing and live off it as well?

We wouldn't have to see these retarded threads anymore.

The banks would be given ownership of the properties by a court ruling and then have the police evict all the tenants. Then the bank would sell the property.

Property is worth something and they are taking on the long term risk of ownership. Can you afford where you rent? If yes then just buy a place you stupid cunt. If not then your landlord is handling the market volitility for you.

Ex, you move to a new city, you have $400k in a bank, you make $100k. But your job is hard and you don't know if you will win a re-compete in a year.

RENT then the landlord can hold the value long enough to get a return.

If you buy then you have to deal with all the associated costs and may need to sell it and lose more than rent that year would cost. Closing costs, paperwork and agent fees are over 6% then capital gains if it did grow in value. All maintenance costs, etc.

If you have been renting the same place for 5 years or more then you're a moron and owning might be too complex for you.

If the landlord didn't have a mortgage on the property, then the state would be given control of the property instead of a bank for unpaid property taxes. The state would then have the police evict all the tenants. And then the state would sell the property.

Rent is on the mind

>rental properties go on the housing market
>the only way to obtain shelter is to actually purchase the house
>people who would otherwise rent would be forced to purchase a home instead
>The market would adjust to the new supply and demand
>homes would be better taken care of because your investment loses value if you treat it like shit
>if some people run their homes into the ground, they get less money back if they move, and other people will buy those homes cheap, repair them, and resell them for profit.

How do overnight guests work in a place like this?

>no landlords
people would have to figure out who to call to get something fixed.
e.g. just like people who own homes.

cut out the middleman

>the price of housing actually going down to the cost of its construction rather then it's current debt inflated bubble
Yes, house builders have no interest in making a profit, lol. Houses will still be worth what people will pay for them and losers like you will be homeless.

their children would inherit the house.
their children would kick you out.
their children would sell the house.

Not allowed.

You sound retarded. Are you saying that the houses would still be owned and no longer for rent? Or, in this fantasy all the home owners disappear leaving the housing market with a surplus.

Sounds like the local plumbers, carpenters, and electricians would get a big uptick in business. The properties themselves would likely improve in value (barring resident neglect) due to actual tradesmen performing the work instead of whatever filth the landlord scraped out of a halfway house for their maintenance staff.

everybody would automatically own the land they are on.

>What would happen if all landlords suddenly disappeared?
Is this the new divisive politics push for the week? What else have we been whipped into a frenzy over in the past 4 years, boys?

Please post more giantess content OP

>implying banks wouldn't just become the landlords.

Why are you angry at people that own stuff? That's communism. If you failed to succeed it's your own fault, and the fault of your parents.

Becoming a landlord should be everyone's goal in life. Property is the only freedom.

And ban this fucking communist agitprop already.

The house isn’t suddenly yours if they disapear you fucking retard

Why DO THESE KIKEFAGS COME HERE?

fuck you and burn in hell faggot OP
Rape your corpse in flames.

>Sounds like the local plumbers, carpenters, and electricians would get a big uptick in business.
Exactly what I was thinking.
And people could afford it, because: no rent.
Landlords serve very little purpose, except leeching money from the economy.
They are no more useful than people trading on the stock market for the sake of margins.

All this recent animosity against landlords is spread by kikes to bankrupt private goy landlords so they can buy up their properties for cheap.

This is literally history repeating itself.
Kikes have brainwashed you into thinking that landlords are the problem, aka the kulaks, whilst they enslave you with the big kike government promising you scum free gibs

im pretty sure the recent uptick in these threads is astroturfing and trying to incite class war

> i genuinely can't see anything at all happening if all landlords vanished

No, it would be fine, rental houses would continue to appear out of thin air, financing would be arranged, money would be invested, rehabs would be done, taxes and insurance would be paid, repairs would be taken care of. If you just wish upon a star, OP, all of that would just happen.

The disappearance or banning of landlords is a banning of private property. It is a ploy to move to Communism and further the reliance on government.

da fuck?

Based and accuratepilled

>People who rent are not responsible enough to maintain houses.

doubt.jpg even medieval peasants found ways to maintain the habitability of their hovels. The (((Property value))) might go down but only the most irresponsible of tents would let their home get to a condemned state.

appartment buildings would go to shit and thats a good thing
men shouldnt be forced to live so close to other men and their families its a form of cuckoldry
everyone should have 40 acres to feed himself and his kin

why does google image search suck so bad now? Years ago I would be able to know where this image was from, now its result is "human".

no changes then except happier people, more buying power, less debts, more money for food, less social programs

Imagine the smell

Hmm. Well
1) the banks and/or government would foreclose on all the properties.
2) They would cease doing any maintenance and sell them for below market prices.
3) The buyers would then either evict all of the renters to use the properties for themselves or simply become the new landlords, charging even more to cover all the transaction costs of the many transfers of ownership.

Stop using the term "landlord" is is meaningless in the modern context. They are actually "property managers" for the most part and it is a service that is required regardless of the ownership situation of a property. Renters simply are outsourcing the property management and ownership risk of their homes to someone and paying them a premium to do so.

I'm guessing in a hypothetical world without landlords that your ass would be homeless.

How about the tenants own it? Why the commie boogeyman? Can you make arguments without using those?

nothing would happen for a few months, but then many cities and towns would suddenly find themselves the owners of millions of properties upon which the property tax was not paid.

>Becoming a landlord should be everyone's goal in life. Property is the only freedom.

Owning property for your own and families usage is based. Taking property and hold it over your community's head thus inflating the house prices in the area and making it harder for people in the community to save money, Talmudic and depraved.

>source: my ass

Posts one reply then bolts. Fucking slide shills.

Belgian land(whale)lords are the worst...

If all labloards dissapeared, you would be living in your mother's basement forever incel

Sure you would wimp

>that landlords are the problem, aka the kulaks,

You have a warped understanding of history. "kulack" were small business owners and farmers. They were not landlords who had already been killed off at the start of the revolution which had very little impact on people's lives.(unlike targeting the kulack did which collapsed the economy because small business owners actually provide either a service or a good.)

It's called a condo, just buy one if you want one. The cucks making these threads are fucking retarded no one is forcing you to rent. Just buy or if you can't afford that buy.

A lot of things needs to happen with rent and property buy a lot of those changes need to be based upon a more highly regulated and limited immigration system.

Rent for profit is a form of usury and it should not be a pillar of our economy. It is evil. The landlords facing problems now are earning their comeuppance.

There are five of you? Why do you need an entire apartment to yourselves? This is Nbudgway and his family of 12. There is plenty of room here for you all.

>tenants own it
No reason they should, since they never bought the place and there are often overlapping tenants (especially with AirBnB). If you try this, the legal disputes over ownership would be crippling.

Tenants would become landlords.

economic boom from all the tenants suddenly having disposable income

landlords LITERALLY contribute absolutely nothing to the real economy and merely consume resources without creating anything

they are the very literal DEFINITION of parasites

it's just boomer landlord coping as they cannot admit to themselves that they are literally useless parasitic tapeworms feeding on the misery and misfortune of others

a landlord is somewhere around the moral tier of a war profiteer, literal human trash and genetic waste, should be culled in concentration camps alongside niggers, kikes and faggots

its simple really
inheritants sell the house
you land on the street

>everyone selling all at once wouldn't collapse the housing bubble, thus affording former tenants to purchase real estate now that it is objectively valued
