But if someone in your friend/family group has the virus and doesn't show up in the official statistics, you probably wouldn't know about it either. So it's somewhat reasonable to use the official statistics as an estimate of the likelihood that you are aware of a friend/family member with covid-19.

I think most places are handling it better than US, to be honest. Many Western countries were caught flat-footed, and Iran also has to deal with US sanctions, which aren't being lifted during the crisis. I think the US did particularly bad, even among Western countries, because Trump was reluctant to facilitate testing. He is worried that if more accurate (i.e. higher) numbers get out, it will undermine his popularity in the upcoming election. Obviously though Trump is not to blame for the pandemic- it would come no matter who is in office.

It's a hoax, a psy op, probably intended, as other posters have said, to give the globalists a "legitimate" reason to claw back all they have lost since 2016 - and BOY, have we fallen for it!

I'm not a bacteriologist, so I'm really not in a position to say anything about its virulence, its potential spread etc. But that is true of all non-bacteriologists and of all the viruses in the world. If someone now started a psy op saying that measles had mutated and would wipe out a third of the world's population by next year, very few people could judge the value or otherwise of that claim on the basis of actual personal knowledge. As with climate change, it all comes down to a matter of making or not making a "leap of faith" in "the scientists" in the end.

A couple of things do seem beyond dispute, however. All the "usual suspects" who have bene driving all the globalist psy ops of the past ten years are furiously driving this. All over the world, the media is going full "Covington boys" on this thing, blasting out stories that suggest that "no one is safe, this thing kills young and old" without even the most perfunctory journalistic double-checking. Just about every "healthy 18-year-old" that the TV and the papers are screaming that the virus killed on a Tuesday turns out on Thursday to have been a cancer patient, or diabetic, or heroin addict, who just happened ALSO to test positive for Covid 19 but died of something else altogether.

In short, something stinks. I think they can sustain the hoax for maybe another three weeks, a month. But it depresses the fuck out of me that they've been able to sustain it THIS long. It shows how pathetically weak we are and how strong they are

I work in an ER in charlotte NC, It's very real and we've had 23 cases last week. 1st death was 2 nights ago, elderly man in early 70's died withen 4 hours of coming to the hospital; wife tested positive later that day. It looks fucking awful to have, it's affecting all ages but the worst cases have all been male. We had one guy that was 30 and was a fitness instructor ( very healthy record and very in shape) and walking to a chair in his room fucking made him out of breath for 4 hours and he had to be put on oxygen.

staff has been working non stop for a week and a half, it's starting to fatigue us in the obvious ways. Nurses and doctors crying out of fear and frustration in the break room is more common than fresh face masks. We literally have to ask our charge nurse for a new mask everyday and we have to wear the damn thing for 12 hours straight..... it's maddening. We all know that we are going to catch it and they still expect us to work with a fever of 103 F. I just got off my night shift and its my 1st day off in a week and they already are calling me begging for me to come back in tonight. I'm so fucking stressed anons that I can't even see straight.
