nietzsche and hegel are the only philosophers still relevant in modernity. every philosopher after them is just aping or turning their insights toward something, usually toward destroying civilization. i don’t consider spengler or evola philosophers (though they are frequently philosophical) but they are extremely relevant for what they are.

My problem with philosophy is that it has no basis in empiricism. It's an idealised model for how something should be without actually taking into account science, data and statistics. It's how you think something SHOULD be rather than how something is. Maybe life improvement philosophy can be useful in small amounts, but most of it is obvious shit that any relatively smart people would figure out; or just a waste of time.
