Those aren't even Africans. And one of the main reasons being (not these silly religious answers in this thread) is the fact that dark skin is better suited to areas of more sunlight. This is due to the fact that dark skin absorbs less sunlight from the sun, hence less Vitamin D, which can be fatal in large doses. It explains why Africans and other dark skinned individuals suffer from Vitamin D deficiency in European countries due to a lack of constant sunlight.

Melanin is not in the cells but outside of the cell in outrr layer of the skin, called epidermis, which is basically suicided skincells. The melanin absorbs the light so the light can’t travel into living cells and cause mutations in the DNA, which is what causes skin cancer. It’s not the heat that causes cancer its the high frequency light waves. Blacks have very thick skin and a lot of sweat glands so they handle the heat generated when melanin absorbs light and turn it into heat.
