Can we have a discussion about freedom of speech in Europe? I literally don't care about Holocaust, but if someone want to deny it, it's an opinion. And an opinion is not true nor false. It's an opinion. So how comes pic related?
>The Italian parliament, extending an anti-racism law from 1975, approved Law 16 June 2016 n. 115, criminalizing the spreading of Holocaust denial and making conviction for the crime subject to imprisonment for two to six years.
>deny the holocaust happend >want to genocide Jews anywy if given the opportunity
I wonder why they want to put you schizos in jail
Kevin Rodriguez
I am part jew myself you subhuman slav. I am skeptical of European way of dealing with freedom of expression.
Camden Kelly
There's a difference between free speech and crossing the line into hate speech. Free speech should not give anybody ground to deny horrible historical events such as the Holocaust. If you exercise this as free speech you take another freedom away.
Ian Smith
>Can we have a discussion about freedom of speech in Europe? There isn't any. >/thread
Thomas Morales
>flag Checks out commie. Imagine beign offended by some words. As the saying goes, commies aren't humans.
Wyatt Cook
Also, tell me how should define what's hate speech and what's not hate speech? I wonder what would happen when the majority consider hate your rethoric. Will you go muh freedom of speech then?
Parker Jenkins
>Also, tell me how should define what's hate speech and what's not hate speech?
Denying Should Be Illegal. The holocaust was documented through history. Has been proven and shown evidence that the massive extermination of Jews in 1933 through 1945 did happen, during world war II. Why deny such massive event when all of the evidence is there? That just shows racism and disrespect towards the Jews. Even though that was a cruel tragedy, we are humans and should be equal, and should not let history be denied by ignorant people.
Ayden Sanchez
So, if someone deny the heliocentric model, should them be fined/jailed?
Dylan Walker
dude are you just pretenting to be dumb or are you realy a brainlet nazi? You are comparing two whole diffrent things.
You are confusing Communism with Socialism and Authoritarianism. I do not know why, but whenever you talk about communism, you always look at and refer to the Soviet Union, and Stalin. But you make a big mistake: The Soviet Union, it was called (by the full name) Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, SOCIALIST, the name never included communism. Besides, if you think that looking at China or Cuba, maybe at North Korea and saying that they are examples of communism, you again make a very big mistake. North Korea if it is complete authoritarianism, and China and Cuba, are socialists. The reality is that there has never been a true government or country that has been a communist in its history.
Jace Martin
Shut up commie bastard, in a world of free speech there's no such thing as "hate speech". That's just a word you commie retards use for facts that you don't like.
Bentley Fisher
>it was not real gommunism Kek! Expected as always. Why commies are such brainlets? Bernie didn't share his jizz this month. Are you mad?
Julian King

Free speech does not give you the right to say anything. For instance, you cannot shout bomb in an airport.
Daniel Edwards
Was you mother shared? Are you sure of your father? Or did he go to buy some cigarettes and he's taking quite a bit?
William Murphy
Both deniers and kikes should be curbstopmed. The only redpill position in regards to holocaust is that it doesnt matter and nobody should care about it.
Justin Gomez
Saying theres a bomb is not some retarded "emotion speech". Its a terrorist thread you spastic.
Cameron Parker
Of course you can, it would just end very badly for you. In your example you would be arrested for causing panic, not for "hate speech". Not surprised that you're bad with arguments, you're a leftist afterall.
Leo Gomez
If people deny the holocaust, Its very likely that people in history might repeat the mistake made by the Germans. So yes it should be illegal.
Luis Green
Our "holocaust denial" law is actually a "protection of history" law, which forbids twisting of of official version of history of our country It was made because libfaggots tried to spread their self-hate into past events and claim shit like "we should have been conquered by X since they were good while we were bad", nazis are one such X, so denial of their crimes is officially forbidden, and since holocaust is one of those its forbidden to deny it too Why people call it "holocaust denial law" when holocaust isnt even a secondary, but tertiary issue(main issue is libfaggots smearing our history, secondary issue is libfaggots bleaching our historic enemies with the purpose of smearing our culture, and tertiary issue is denying some specific facts about those enemies to bleach them, for example holocaust)
Anthony Rogers
How about if people deny the holocaust you show them undoubtfull proof that it was indeed real, and when you are countered with doubt you expel that doubt with other counter-arguments. Oh, of course, you can't.
Josiah Myers
Good point.
Oliver Flores
>saying picrelated didn't happen is against the law All you need to turn someone from somewhat right-wing normie into a full blown NatSoc desu.
Its racial discrimination against millions of people who lost their lives. It's not a lie, Germany admitted it. Supporting Holocaust denial can cause a domino effect leading to another hatred genocide.
Prove it. Also, i'm not denying it or anything because I never looked into the subject, my point is just that if you say "It's true because someone said so and it's illegal for you to think otherwise" you'll get the contrary effect of what you desire.
as long as I say it's for, uh, "educational and comedy" it's all good here :^) also, if I can actually prove that what I say is correct, even if anti-semitic or racist, it's all good aswell
Brandon Butler
The sad thing about all this is that "free speech" as a concept, which is a basic human right, does not even leave any room for discussion. It is by definition only free if you are really free to say what you want without having to fear prosecution, and this is simply not the case in most European nations. The thing that angers me the most is the fact that people still use the term free speech daily, discussing where it should end, where its limits are, etc., thus bastardizing a concept, which is, by itself, completely unambiguous. IF YOU HAVE TO ASK YOURSELF THESE QUESTIONS IT IS NOT FREE SPEECH YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT, it is something entirely different.
Nathan Ross
There needs to be laws about death threats, terrorism and defamation.
>death threats, terrorism and defamation Different concepts, even if strictly related. But at this point, what about (inb4 whataboutism) fervent Muslims coming into Europe? Their ideology doesn't shy for being peaceful.
>IF YOU HAVE TO ASK YOURSELF THESE QUESTIONS IT IS NOT FREE SPEECH YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT, it is something entirely different. what is it? i agree with but i want you to elaborate
Brayden Flores
>shy *shine
Jonathan Wright
We live in a leftist dictatorship pastabro. We need to abolish the "crime" of fascism's apology, the Scelba law and Mancino law. But here we are, under home arrest, doing nothing even for our freedom to go outside and work. This land is damned and will not survive. We can only escape this horrible, horrible communist in disguise country.
Jaxon Clark
I agre fratello. Discussions are useless with the other side, since they'll go ree. Everything is arbitrary in our law. And if you dig deeper you'll find out that Scelba + Mancino are only the tip of the iceberg. Search about last years dispositions about hate speech in Italy.
Joshua Torres
The good thing about this whole shit is how it brings more and more to light, if it was ever necessary, the schizofrenia and mental illness of liberalism as it exists nowadays, trying to slime their way around it making up shit like "hate speech" while still trying to sound "freedom" loving. Unironically, if they simply dropped the façade and said: "ok, free speech is a bad idea, you are not allowed to say certain things" they'd at least appear sincere for once.
>Liberal institutions cease to be liberal as soon as they are attained: later on, there are no worse and no more thorough injurers of freedom than liberal institutions. Their effects are known well enough: they undermine the will to power; they level mountain and valley, and call that morality; they make men small, cowardly, and hedonistic -- every time it is the herd animal that triumphs with them. Liberalism: in other words, herd-animalization
