At that point, Hitler believed he possessed the power to overcome all odds and conquer the world. At that point, World War II became inevitable. Seems to me like a very dumb move, he should have had that super powerful spear with him at all times. Like right next to him, it should have been his most priced possession aside from his very life, if the enemy was close by he should have taken the spear with him and ran to a car and gone to the bunker.
